The football season returns in a matter of days, and we’re preparing for it with NFL futures bets for the entire NFC, including projected NFC East, NFC North, NFC SouthNFC West division champions and NFC championship odds for the coming season. We will also examine some NFL betting odds and uncover a couple of sleeper picks to make a run in the postseason.

The Eagles emerged as the frontrunners last season and came agonizingly close to claiming a win in the Super Bowl against Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs. Philadelphia quarterback Jalen Hurts played incredibly well on the biggest stage and was rewarded with a mammoth contract from the Eagles during the offseason.

Let’s get into some NFC Championship odds as we make our picks for the division.

Odds to win NFC Championship 2023-24

Philadelphia Eagles +300
San Francisco 49ers +350
Dallas Cowboys +600
Detroit Lions +900
New Orleans Saints +1400
Seattle Seahawks +1400
Minnesota Vikings +1600
New York Giants +1600

Who is favored to win the NFC Championship?

The Philadelphia Eagles’ odds to win the NFC East make them the favorites in their division, but they are also favored to win the NFC championship.

As discussed earlier, Philadelphia’s roster is loaded from front to back and top to bottom, and the Eagles continue to bring in veterans who make the threat of injury less of a concern across the board.

Quarterback Jalen Hurts commands the locker room. His teammates love him, and the entire franchise believes that had the Super Bowl turf been a little less slippery, it would have beaten the Kansas City Chiefs in Arizona last season.

There’s no doubt the Eagles are coming for what they believe should have been theirs last season, and they should absolutely be one of the most dangerous teams in the NFC during the upcoming NFL season.

2023-24 NFC Championship Predictions and Best Bets

I have to go with the Eagles here. The roster looks incredible, and with a little more tape on San Francisco’s Brock Purdy, whom nobody knew from Adam last year, the NFL will be better prepared to handle the young quarterback.

The 49ers’ offensive scheme is exceptional, and there’s no doubt they will be one of the biggest threats to Philadelphia, but the Eagles just look too good at every position to be beaten out.

If Jalen Hurts is as good as he was last year, or dare I say better, he will be an MVP candidate who bullies his way through the NFC and deep into the playoffs.

The NFC is not currently on the same level as the AFC, where in addition to the Chiefs there might be five or six teams with a chance to be Super Bowl contenders. In the NFC, that number of potential Super Bowl participants is closer to three, maybe four.

I’ll go with the Eagles at +300 to win the conference, as those NFL futures odds feel like good value for a team that got there last year and became a lot better in the offseason.

The Pick: Philadelphia Eagles to win the NFC Championship (+300)

Building on what I said in my NFC West predictions, I really like the Seahawks this year as an underdog.

Seattle currently has +1400 odds to make the Super Bowl, which ties the Seahawks with the New Orleans Saints and leaves them quite far behind the Detroit Lions at +900. If the Lions are +900, then Seattle is a great value at +1400.

As mentioned, Bobby Wagner is back as the heartbeat of the defense, and Seattle added Devon Witherspoon early in the draft to pair him with Tariq Woolen, who has emerged as a standout corner in the league.

Offensively, the addition of Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Zach Charbonnet gives the Seahawks a group of weapons as good as anybody’s. So, why not take a flyer on Pete Carroll’s team to make a run this year?

They are a long shot, don’t get me wrong, but they’re my favorite long shot in either conference.

The Pick: Seattle Seahawks to win the NFC Championship (+1400)
