The NHL season continues at full pace, and we’re really starting to see what each team has to offer in 2023-24. Some teams are stronger than we expected, while others are considerably weaker.  A huge slate of 10 games is on tap for Tuesday night, and several struggling teams are in action, which gives us a chance to take advantage of them when building a parlay. Let’s dive in and take a closer look at what we can expect Tuesday night.

Best NHL Parlays - Tuesday, Dec. 12, 4-Leg Parlay Picks (+446) Arizona Coyotes vs. Pittsburgh Penguins Prediction and Pick

The Pittsburgh Penguins’ inconsistency this season could very well come back to bite them when the playoffs roll around in the spring. The Pens had a roller-coaster start to their season, and they might end up paying for it by missing out on the playoffs. December has not been much better. Pittsburgh has started the month at 0-2-2, and the Penguins didn’t even appear competitive in their last two games – a pair of 3-1 road losses to the Lightning and Panthers. Superstar captain Sidney Crosby and Co. will look to bounce back at home on Tuesday night, but their matchup with the Arizona Coyotes will not be a cakewalk.  Arizona has struggled offensively at times this season, but the Coyotes are the NHL’s 11th-best team when it comes to protecting their own net – allowing just 3.04 goals per game. Scoring has been a problem of late for the Pens, even though Crosby is tied for ninth place in the league with 15 goals. Something has got to give on Tuesday night, because Pittsburgh is in desperate need of a win. Coyotes goaltender Connor Ingram doesn’t get the headlines, but he has had a good season so far. However, he has been subpar over his last two games in allowing a total of nine goals. That stat alone should give the Penguins’ players hope at home. While I don’t love this choice, give me Penguins moneyline because they know they need to stop the bleeding and get a victory.

Leg-1 Parlay Pick: Pittsburgh Penguins ML (-190)
Florida Panthers vs. Seattle Kraken Prediction and Pick

Coming off a trip to the 2023 Stanley Cup Final, the Florida Panthers opened the 2023-24 season with back-to-back regulation-time losses. It didn’t take long for them to turn that around, as Florida finished October at 4-3-1 and then went 10-4-1 in November before starting this month at 3-1-0. At this point, the Cats are second in the Atlantic Division and looking just as good as -- if not better than -- they did during their Cinderella postseason run last spring. On Tuesday, the Panthers face a Seattle Kraken team headed in the complete opposite direction. Seattle hasn’t won a single game in December and has lost nine of its last 10. Florida is the better team at forward, defense, and in goal, so look for the Panthers to win this game handily on Tuesday night. Goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky, who has been a brick wall in goal this season, is expected to start this game for Florida.

Leg-2 Parlay Pick: Florida Panthers ML (-160)

Winnipeg Jets vs. San Jose Sharks Prediction and Pick

The San Jose Sharks are not just the worst team in hockey this season. These Sharks might go down as one of the worst teams in NHL history by the time 2023-24 draws to a close. They rank near the bottom of the league in almost every statistical category this season and are dead last in both goals allowed (4.04) and shots allowed (36.7) per game. While the Winnipeg Jets don’t have an elite offense, they do have a gritty defense that suffocates opponents and will make it nearly impossible for San Jose to score at home on Tuesday night. The Jets are undefeated in December (4-0-0), and their offense has looked stellar in scoring four times over each of the past two games. While only one goal might be enough to beat this San Jose team, something tells me that Winnipeg will score a lot more than that. Give me the Jets on the moneyline.

Leg-3 Parlay Pick: Winnipeg Jets ML (-225)

Calgary Flames vs. Vegas Golden Knights Prediction and Pick

December hasn’t been very kind to the Calgary Flames, who are 1-3-0 this month. Calgary’s life won’t be get any easier on Tuesday night, when the Flames visit Vegas for the second of back-to-back games. The Flames were looking great against the Colorado Avalanche on Monday, as a big second period gave them a commanding 5-3 lead heading into the third. Unfortunately for Calgary, Colorado’s elite offense came alive at home, and the Avs stormed back to win 6-5. Calgary’s No. 1 goalie, Jacob Markstrom, remains out with an injury, so the Flames must now take on another top NHL team with backup Dustin Wolf in net. Unlike the Avalanche, who allow nearly one more goal per game to opposing skaters, the Golden Knights are much more buttoned up defensively and will pose a true test for the Flames. Look for Vegas to take care of a depleted Calgary team that should be exhausted on Tuesday night.

Leg-4 Parlay Pick: Vegas Golden Knights ML (-190)
