NFL Player Prop Bets for Week 6 Today

Best Vikings vs. Bears Player Prop Bets

DJ Moore

Chicago wide receiver DJ Moore had a career game against the Washington Commanders in Week 5 – catching eight passes for 230 yards and three touchdowns. He is the No.1 receiver on this Bears team, and it often looks like he’s the only person that quarterback Justin Fields wants to target.

With Minnesota receiver Justin Jefferson sidelined due to injury, and rumors swirling about his quarterback, Kirk Cousins, being traded, the Vikings find themselves in a precarious situation. The Bears will look to take full advantage of Minnesota’s issues and grab their second win of the season.

We have already seen the impact that DJ Moore can make for this Bears team when given the opportunity. He’s a playmaker with a great ability to elude defenders and find the end zone. In his last two games, Moore has a total of 16 receptions for 361 yards, which is nothing less than elite production. He currently ranks fifth in the NFL for receiving yardage and shows no sign of slowing down.

Starting Bears running back Khalil Herbert is sidelined with an injury and expected to miss several weeks. Backup RB Roschon Johnson’s status for this game is uncertain due to the league’s concussion protocol, so Chicago is now relying on D’onta Foreman, a running back brought up from the practice squad. Given the team's weak run game, the Bears might have no choice but to rely even more on Moore this week.

The Vikings’ secondary has struggled this season, conceding 454 yards to the Chargers’ receivers in Week 3 and 204 yards to rookie quarterback Bryce Young and the Panthers in Week 4. Clearly, Minnesota is vulnerable against the pass. It is also the league’s second-weakest team -- behind the Bears -- in terms of its pass rush, so Fields should have plenty of time to find Moore on Sunday.

The Pick: DJ Moore Over 58.5 receiving yards (-125)

Best Panthers vs. Dolphins Player Prop Bets

Raheem Mostert

The De’Von Achane fairy tale was short-lived. Unfortunately, the Dolphins’ electrifying rookie running back is now set to miss multiple weeks with a knee injury and will be on the IR while he recovers. That means 31-year-old veteran Raheem Mostert is in position to lead the backfield.

We all know how good Mostert is. Like Achane, he’s built for this high-flying Miami offense, and he will provide great cover during Achane’s absence. In his first two games this season, Mostert rushed for a total of 158 yards and three touchdowns on 28 carries. Despite his age, he’s more than capable of shouldering the weight of this backfield.

Mostert is tied for this season’s NFL lead with seven rushing touchdowns. On Sunday, he will look to add to that total with an increased snap count and more opportunities on the goal line.

The Panthers are the league’s fourth-weakest team against the rush. Carolina gave up 159 rushing yards to the Lions last Sunday and 146 yards to the Seahawks in Week 3. If the Dolphins can get a large enough lead, they might lean more on their run game to kill off the clock and send the Panthers home with minimal fuss. Given the potential return of Jeff Wilson and Salvon Ahmed to Miami’s backfield, betting on Mostert to score a touchdown seems an even safer choice than his rushing-yardage line.

The Pick: Mostert anytime touchdown scorer (-200)

Best Colts vs. Jaguars Player Prop Bets Christian Kirk

Jacksonville wide receiver Christian Kirk has been the Jaguars’ standout player since Week 2. Over the past four weeks, Kirk has had 40 targets and caught 29 passes for 326 yards and a touchdown. It’s clear that he is benefiting from fellow receiver Zay Jones’ ongoing injury concerns. Jones is once again questionable to play on Sunday after aggravating his knee injury during the Jags’ win over the Bills in London last weekend.

Kirk will therefore find himself in another favorable matchup against a Colts team that is the league’s eighth-worst when it comes to pass coverage -- sporting a PFF grade of 60.1. The Colts defense is likely to give Kirk plenty of space, and he will take advantage of it. He is already quarterback Trevor Lawrence's preferred target this season, and this should turn into another productive day.

Last Sunday against Tennessee, the Colts gave up 264 receiving yards --- with 140 of those yards going to DeAndre Hopkins. They also allowed 163 yards to the Rams’ Puka Nacua in the previous week. There’s an opportunity for talented receivers to rack up serious yardage against this Colts defense. Although Calvin Ridley is generally considered the Jaguars’ No.1 receiver, I prefer Kirk and his consistent output over Ridley, who has had three consecutive subpar games.

The Pick: Christian Kirk Over 62.5 receiving yards (-115)

Best Cardinals vs. Rams Player Prop Bets

Cooper Kupp

As obvious as it might seem, this is my favorite pick for the week. Last week, Cincinnati scored 34 points against the Arizona Cardinals, and Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase really stood out with three touchdowns. Since his quarterback, Joe Burrow, has been struggling with a calf injury, Chase has had to play a style much like Cooper Kupp’s in Los Angeles. Chase is earning more targets closer to the line of scrimmage with an emphasis on making plays after the catch.

Now, if Chase can excel at Kupp’s game, imagine what Kupp himself is going to do to this Cardinals defense.

The Cardinals are the NFL’s third-worst team when it comes to pass coverage and they are also third-worst in total defense. Over the past two weeks, the Cardinals have allowed 317 receiving yards to the Bengals and 283 to the 49ers. They are about to face Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford -- arguably the best passer in the league right now -- and Stafford has two great receivers in Kupp and Puka Nacua.

This will be Kupp’s second game back from injury, and he has already proven that there are no lingering effects. I’m excited to see what he does to this Cardinals team in a divisional matchup. Even though the line for his yardage is high, I’m still willing to back it and even ladder higher.

The Pick: Cooper Kupp Over 86.5 receiving yards (-105)
