Justin Jefferson | WR | Minnesota Vikings (+600)

In recent years, the NFL Offensive Player of the Year award has largely been used to reward skill position players who put up elite numbers, but are overlooked in favor of quarterbacks for the MVP award.

For the best bet in 2022-2023, look no further than Jefferson, who is primed for total domination in his third NFL season.

The Minnesota Vikings superstar holds the record for the most receiving yards ever for a player in his first two NFL seasons, having gained 1,400 in his 2020 rookie year and then 1,616 in 2021, and at just 23 years of age he should only get better.

Last season, he fell just 16 receiving yards short of Randy Moss’ single-season Vikings record, and in terms of pure talent, it’s not a stretch to compare Jefferson to Moss – one of the greatest receivers ever.

Jefferson consistently gains separation from defensive backs with his smooth route running, and he’s arguably the league’s premier deep threat capable of taking it to the house on any given play.

As the +800 favorite to have the most receiving yards of any player this season, it would be no surprise at all if he takes the next step and becomes the NFL’s best offensive player.

Christian McCaffrey | RB | Carolina Panthers (+7500)

McCaffrey finished third in Offensive Player of the Year voting in 2019 after becoming just the third player in NFL history to gain over 1,000 rushing yards and 1,000 receiving yards in a season.

Since then, the Panthers running back has played just 10 total games in two years while struggling with various injuries.

Whenever McCaffrey has been on the field, he’s looked fantastic. Very few players are as big a part of their team’s offense, and he’s almost guaranteed to have a monster year providing he can stay healthy.

That’s a big ‘if’, but the injury risk is built into his +7500 price. The Panthers’ offensive line has been revamped this year, and with Baker Mayfield under center, Carolina will be looking to run the ball as much as possible.

That bodes well for McCaffrey’s chances of reminding everyone why, when healthy, he’s arguably the most unstoppable player in the league.

Ja'Marr Chase | WR | Cincinnati Bengals (+4000)

Jefferson may have had the greatest two-year start to an NFL career of any receiver, but Chase – his former teammate at LSU – is going to be hot on his heels in 2022.

Last year, Chase broke Jefferson’s rookie receiving record of 1,400 yards, putting up 1,455 in the regular season before starring in the playoffs as the Bengals went all the way to the Super Bowl.

The 22-year-old scored 13 receiving touchdowns, three of which came in an incredible 266-yard day against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 17.

With his combination of size and speed, Chase was a nightmare for defensive backs last season, and he’s only going to get better. He has incredible chemistry with quarterback Joe Burrow, and Cincinnati figures to have one of the best offenses in the league this year with that duo leading the way.

There’s no limit to what Chase can achieve this year, and he looks a fantastic bet at +4000.
