Jazz vs. Celtics Predictions and Best Bets

The Boston Celtics are 26-7 and are clearly the team to beat in the Eastern Conference. They are absolutely loaded, and although they had their six-game winning streak halted with a loss on the road to the Oklahoma City Thunder, they have not lost two in a row since Nov. 6-8.

Tonight, they have what should be considered a gimme against a Utah Jazz team that is 12th in the West but scored a ridiculous 154 points last time out, albeit against the lowly Detroit Pistons. They have won three in a row to stay within reach of play-in status, but they are only 5-14 on the road as they begin an Eastern trip that will have them facing the Celtics, Sixers and Bucks.

Those five road wins have come against Portland, Detroit, Toronto, San Antonio and Memphis, not exactly a murderer’s row of powerhouses. The spread tonight at TD Garden is Celtics  - 13.5, making it the largest spread the Jazz have faced as underdogs this season. They have covered six of their last seven, but are 6-10-1 as a road underdog, the sixth-worst conversion record in the NBA. The Celtics are 10-6-0 ATS as a home favorite and have gone over in seven of their last eight.

What has been trending player-wise for each of these teams? Well, the European players have been doing well lately, so that is what we are building our Same Game Parlay on. So let’s have at it.

Best NBA Same Game Parlay Picks Today for Jazz vs. Celtics - 3 Legs Parlay Picks (+6500)

Leg-1 SGP: Kristaps Porzingis to score 30+ points

This is quite a nice price for a player who scored 34 points against the Thunder and 35 points two games earlier against the Pistons. His only other 30-point game came on opening night against the Knicks, so the idea here is to ride him while he is hot and while the Jazz are focused on stopping Jayson Tatum. Porzingis’ outside game should draw Jazz center Walker Kessler to the perimeter, opening up the paint for a bunch of easy buckets for others. We like Porzingis to get a bunch of his buckets off second-chance opportunities.

The Pick: Kristaps Porzingis to score 30+ points (+450)

Leg 2 SGP: Simone Fontecchio steals 2+

The 28-year-old from Italy has registered two steals in three straight games, and we are wondering whether that has registered with the oddmakers given this enticing line. This guy is an underrated foreign commodity whose numbers have been trending up as the Jazz look to move John Collins in a trade. Fontecchio is helping to make that decision easier as the Jazz continue to rebuild following the deal that sent Donovan Mitchell to the Cavs. They need another piece to fit with keepers Jordan Clarkson, Collin Sexton and Lauri Markannen.

The Pick: Simone Fontecchio to record at least two steals (+450)

Leg 3 SGP: Lauri Markannen 10+ rebounds

The best player from Finland has grabbed at least 10 rebounds in four of his past eight games, and with Porzingis drawing Kessler away from the basket we expect more balls to be up for grabs for everyone else. The reigning NBA Most Improved Player does a little bit of everything and is mostly known for his offensive prowess in terms of points scored and 3-pointers made, but there are no enticing lines in those two categories. But rebounds? Yeah, this line is enticing.

The Pick: Lauri Markannen to grab at least 10 rebounds (+450)

Put those three legs together and you get a Same Game Parlay line of +6500, meaning a $10 wager would pay $660. Good luck!
