This will be the final stop on a four-game road trip in which the Heat lost to the Jazz and the Clippers before defeating the Lakers by 14, causing all sorts of trauma among Laker Nation, who do drama as though they were all channeling Jack Nicholson.

Look, every team has its ups and downs, and the Heat have had their share, too, with losing streaks of four, three and two. They are expected to be without starters Jimmy Butler and Caleb Martin tonight, while Phoenix is expected to be without Kevin Durant again (He is listed as day-to-day) as he recovers from a hamstring strain. Those are some of the reasons why the line is only Phoenix -4.5, and the over under is 229.5. The Heat have gone under is four straight games.

ESPN looks smart (or lucky) by not making this the second half of the Friday night doubleheader, instead giving that spot to the Grizzlies-Lakers game as both of those teams try to sort out their underachieving records and internal dramas.

The Suns and the Heat will look at this one as merely one of 82, and we do not expect anything extra special from any individual here, which makes this parlay have more legs with shorter odds than some of our others today.

Leg-1 SGP: Jaime Jaquez assists 5+

The Heat drafted this kid out of UCLA because they felt he would be the perfect player in Eric Spoelstra’s famous system, which relies upon commitment to a common goal over individual accomplishments. Spoelstra has played the kid 30-plus minutes in 11 straight games, and he is coming off a season-high eight-assist game against the Lakers. If he could get eight against them without having Butler to pass to, why not five against Phoenix? Especially at this price. 

The Pick: Jaime Jaquez to record at least five assists (+370)

Leg-2 SGP: Tyler Herro points 20+

Here we go with another likely pick as a multi-leg parlay builder. Herro has scored at least 20 points in eight of nine games, and with Butler out they will have to rely upon him for buckets as they try to keep pace with Devin Booker, Bradley Beal and possibly nobody else filling up the box score. Herro has only been below 20 points three times this season.

The Pick: Tyler Herro to score 20 or more points (-250)

Leg-3 SGP: Devin Booker points 30+

Quite frankly, we were surprised to see a plus line here because Booker often goes for 30 (he has done it nine times this season) and has been one of the few constants in a season in which coach Frank Vogel has had to mix and match his lineups in order to deal with injuries. The Heat will have to focus defensively on both Beal and Booker on the perimeter, and the thinking here is they will be more concerned with locking up Beal, who is the better pure scorer. Booker shot 11-for-15 and scored 35 last time out vs. the Clippers.

The Pick: Devin Booker to score 30 or more points (+150).

Leg-4 SGP Pick: Bam Adebayo rebounds 15+

Miami’s center has grabbed at least 15 boards in three of the last five games, and tonight he is matched against a slumping Jusuf Nurkic, who has totaled only 13 rebounds combined in his last two games. (In December, he had at least 13 in a single game six times.) So this shapes up as a positional mismatch in the middle based upon what the two of them have been accomplishing lately, and the line makes this a nice parlay price builder.

The Pick: Bam Adebayo to grab at least 15 rebounds (+550)
