Suns vs Clippers Prediction and Pick

In Phoenix, “boo” is usually the first three letters of a four-letter word that is often used when discussing breast-enhancement surgery.

On Tuesday night, however, it was what the fans were chanting at the home team as the Suns got crushed by the Los Angeles Clippers in the first quarter and fell behind 35-4 in what was likely Phoenix’s most inept performance of an underachieving season.

A 105-92 loss left the Suns in seventh place in the West – one game behind the New Orleans Pelicans and one ahead of the Sacramento Kings. So, the team that began the season as the low-odds favorite from the West to make it all the way to the championship podium is suddenly looking at the prospect of playing at least one NBA Play-In Tournament game next week. If that’s the case, then Devin Booker had better not shoot 1-for-11 from the field, which he did against the Clippers on Tuesday.

The teams will play again on Wednesday in Los Angeles in the second half of a back-to-back set, and the Clips will be looking for a victory that would lock them into the Western Conference’s No. 4 seed for a likely first-round series against the Dallas Mavericks.

They would not mind getting another triple-double from Russell Westbrook, who started on Tuesday night with James Harden and Kawhi Leonard both sidelined and had his first “T-D” of the season in his first start since November.

“No surprise on my end because I know I prepare very well," Westbrook said. “I take a lot of time to prepare for games, no matter how much time on the floor. I'm grateful for my teammates believing in me.”

Strangely, the Suns are 3½-point favorites on Wednesday despite laying that egg one night earlier. That makes it a heck of a lot easier to build what we hope is a winning same-game parlay, because we will use the “kick ‘em when they’re down” strategy and jump on the moneyline before building out from there. Let’s have at it …

Best NBA Same-Game Parlay Picks Today for Suns vs. Clippers - 3 Legs Parlay Picks (+3000)

Clippers ML

Los Angeles has won four in a row and seven of eight, with the best moneyline victory coming at a price of +300 last night when the Clippers were 9½ point underdogs on the road. Gamblers always want to look for team ending the season with a head of steam as the playoffs near, and we should have two of them meeting in the first round if we end up with Clippers vs. Mavericks. Dallas has won 15 of its last 18 games, but is only fifth in the packed Western Conference. The Clippers are ending their regular season with three straight home games at Arena, which will no longer be their home next season when they relocate to Anaheim.

Leg-1 SGP Pick: Los Angeles Clippers moneyline (+110)

Bradley Beal, 2+ blocks

Looking at Tuesday night’s box score, the one thing that stands out apart from Russell Westbrook’s triple-double is Bradley Beal’s five blocks -- a season-high coming after he had two of them against New Orleans in his previous game. Beal blocked three layup attempts by Paul George in the second quarter after blocking the Clippers’ first attempt of the game -- a layup by center Ivica Zubac. Blocks indicate the level of how locked in a player is defensively, and Beal is about to head into the postseason for the first time since 2021. We always like defensive player-prop lines for guys who have been feeling it on that end of the court.

Leg-2 SGP Pick: Bradley Beal to block two or more shots (+340)

Grayson Allen, 3+ blocks and steals

Phoenix’s Grayson Allen had three steals on Tuesday night, just one game after having two steals and two blocks against the Pelicans. He has reached this number in 16 of 72 games for a conversion rate of 22.2 percent, and we can work with that in the hope that he does it for a 17th time on Wednesday -- especially with Russell Westbrook, who is turnover-prone, starting as the primary ballhandler for the Clippers. Westbrook had five turnovers last night while putting together his triple-double.

Leg-3 SGP Pick: Grayson Allen to have at least three blocks and steals combined (+320)

Putting those three picks together produced a very nice +3000 line, meaning a $10 wager would return $310, which would allow you to hedge bet both the Clippers and the Mavs to win it all. Good luck!
