With a win tonight, the Indiana Pacers can move ahead of the Milwaukee Bucks in the Eastern Conference standings. We were confident prior to the season that the Pacers would be an overachieving team in the East, but being ahead of the Bucks in the standings? No. We did not see that coming … and it still might not happen.

However, Indiana can move to 6-2 and drop Milwaukee to 5-3 if head coach Rick Carlisle’s Pacers can win for a second straight night coming off their 134-118 victory over Utah on Wednesday. The Pacers outscored the Jazz 33-20 in the fourth quarter of that game to win by 16 and easily cover the 6-point spread.

The NBA's highest-scoring team has now won three of its last four -- topping 120 points in all four games. Meanwhile. Milwaukee is coming off a home game in which the Bucks defeated the injury-depleted Detroit Pistons by just one point on a night when Giannis Antetokounmpo was ejected for taunting after a dunk.

With Boston losing its second straight game on Wednesday, the East is not looking very much like it did at the beginning of the week. Can the Pacers keep that trend going tonight as 4-point underdogs at home?

He runs hot and cold in that department, but the thought here is that he is going to be determined to outperform Damian Lillard at Lillard’s own game. He will get the attempts; it is a question of whether he can make four.

The Pick: Tyrese Haliburton to make at least four 3-pointers (+180)

Leg-2 SGP Pick: Myles Turner blocked shots 3+ (+330)

This will be a matchup of two of the best shot-blocking centers in the NBA in Indiana’s Myles Turner and Milwaukee’s Brook Lopez. Since Giannis Antetokounmpo should be geeked up following his ejection last night, we expect him to take the ball to the hole more than usual, which will create block opportunities for Turner. The 27-year-old center from the University of Texas had at least three blocks 24 times last season, and you can be certain he is not happy to be trailing Anthony Davis by nine for the league lead.

The pick: Myles Turner to block at least three shots (+330) 

Leg-3 SGP Pick: Giannis Antetokounmpo blocked shots 2+ (+150)

Even with his ejection last night that limited him to 22 minutes, the Greek Freak still had three blocks. People do not appreciate Giannis’ defense the way they once did, but he has had at least two blocks in four of seven games, and we would not be surprised if he has side action with teammate Brook Lopez (always among the leaders in blocks) regarding who will have more of said swats. The guy is 6-foot-11 and alters far more shots than be blocks, so the thinking here is that his motivation level will be especially high after his rough night with the referees against the Pistons.

The Pick: Giannis Antetokounmpo to block at least two shots (+150)
