NHL Player Prop Bets Today: Tuesday, Oct. 24 2023
Best Hurricanes vs Tampa Bay Lighting Player Prop Bets
Carolina’s Sebastian Aho is still not 100 percent healthy and is expected to miss Tuesday night’s game at Tampa Bay. That gives fellow forward Seth Jarvis, who has already carried the load offensively for the Hurricanes this season, an even greater opportunity to shine. Jarvis has had three or more shots on goal in four out of six games. Going above 2.5 shots on goal against Tampa Bay, which allows the NHL’s second-most shots per game, makes Jarvis one of my top player-prop picks for Tuesday night.
The Pick: Seth Jarvis over 2.5 shots on goal (-110)
Best Sharks vs Florida Panthers Player Prop Bets
Florida winger Matthew Tkachuk has yet to put a puck in the net this season, having gone without a goal through his first five games. Despite leading all Panthers skaters with 21 shots on goal, Tkachuk just hasn’t been able to score. Things will change on Tuesday night, because Florida’s opponent, the San Jose Sharks, allow the sixth-most goals against per game and allow the most shots on goal per game. Look for Tkachuk to take advantage of an inferior Sharks defense on Tuesday night and get his first goal of the season.
The Pick: Matthew Tkachuk anytime goalscorer (+100)
Best Bruins vs Blackhawks Player Prop Bets
Rookie sensation Center Connor Bedard has taken the hockey world by storm. Each of his games with the Chicago Blackhawks this season has been must-see television. Bedard’s offensive aggressiveness has decreased over his past two games, since he has just two shots on goal in that span. However, he did score a goal against the Vegas Golden Knights in his last outing. At home on Tuesday, Bedard will get his second look at a tough Boston Bruins team against which he scored his first NHL goal two weeks ago. While another goal for Bedard would be nice, I expect him to be aggressive in front of the Chicago fans, who would love to see their Blackhawks spoil Boston’s unbeaten record.
The Pick: Connor Bedard over 3.5 shots on goal (-163)
Best Rangers vs Flames Player Prop Bets
Winger Artemi Panarin has been the engine of the New York Rangers’ offense this season, as he leads the team with 21 shots on goal -– a full seven more than second-place Mika Zibanejad. On Tuesday, Panarin’s Rangers will visit a Calgary Flames team that allows nearly 30 shots per game. Panarin’s current prop line is at 2.5 shots on goal -- a number he has exceeded in every game this season. Look for Panarin to remain aggressive and hit this mark yet again.
The Pick: Artemi Panarin over 2.5 shots on goal (-134)
