Best NHL Player-Prop Bets on December 27, 2023 Tyler Seguin Dallas Stars forward Tyler Seguin has had a rather quiet -- yet good -- start to the season so far with 10 goals and 23 points for a team that’s fighting for the top spot out West. On Wednesday, Dallas will face the St. Louis Blues, against whom Seguin hasn’t had much success this season. The veteran will try to change that in this game and help lead the Stars to a victory. This Blues aren’t particularly great in their own zone, since they allow the NHL’s 11th-most goals and ninth-most shots on goal per game this season. Expect Seguin and the Stars to capitalize on St. Louis’ weakness as they look to come out of the holiday break with a win.

The Pick: Tyler Seguin over 2.5 shots on goal (+115)
Nathan MacKinnon The Colorado Avalanche bring their high-powered offense to Arizona on Wednesday night, and they will look to take advantage of an inferior Coyotes team. Superstar center Nathan MacKinnon has been phenomenal this season, which is no surprise since he has long been one of the NHL’s top players. Coming off a four-goal performance in a 6-4 win over Ottawa last Thursday, MacKinnon is primed and ready to add to his 2023-24 season total of 18 goals. MacKinnon did not find the back of the net in his team’s most recent game before the holiday break -– a 4-1 win over these same Coyotes. However, he did manage to score when the teams met on Nov. 20. Lightning doesn’t strike twice, as the saying goes, so MacKinnon failing to score against the same opponent in back-to-back games just doesn’t seem right.

The Pick: Nathan MacKinnon anytime goalscorer (-121)
Jack Eichel Vegas center Jack Eichel has already had some of his better performances this season against Wednesday night’s opponent, the Anaheim Ducks. Eichel scored a goal in both of the Golden Knights’ earlier games against Anaheim and totaled four points in those matchups. A chance to play the Ducks on the heels of some much-needed rest during the holiday break is an opportunity for Eichel and his Golden Knights teammates to get back on track after losing four of their last five games. Fortunately for Vegas, Anaheim’s defense isn’t anything to worry about, and Eichel has already shown what he can do against the Ducks this season. A hat trick isn’t on the menu for Eichel here, but at least one goal certainly is.

The Pick: Jack Eichel anytime goalscorer (+135)
Adrian Kempe Los Angeles winger Adrian Kempe is one of the top players on a fully-loaded Kings team. L.A. will bring the NHL’s fourth-highest goals per game total into San Jose on Wednesday night when the Kings face a Sharks team with the league’s worst defense. San Jose allows the most goals per game of any NHL team, and only the New York Islanders allow a higher shots-on-goal average per game. Over his past five games, Kempe has exceeded his current shots-on-goal prop total twice, and that has happened in each of the last two games. Going up against a Sharks defense that isn’t up to the task in its own zone on Wednesday should result in a big night for Kempe and Co.

The Pick: Adrian Kempe over 3.5 shots on goal (+105)
