Best NHL Player Prop Bets to consider for Thursday, February 8, 2024 Brock BoeserThe Vancouver Canucks have the best offense in hockey entering Thursday night, as they rank first in goals scored per game in the NHL. A big part of their top offense has been due to winger Brock Boeser, who has 30 goals on the season. While the Boston Bruins do a good job at eliminating their opponents from finding the back of the net, as they allow the fourth fewest goals to opposing skaters this season, they do struggle at eliminating shots, allowing the eighth most shots to opposing skaters this season. With that being said, look for Boeser to be very aggressive on Thursday night and exceed his current prop total for the third time in four games.

The Pick: Brock Boeser over 2.5 shots on goal (-105)
Nathan MacKinnon
Death, taxes and Nathan MacKinnon goals is the new motto. MacKinnon is a lethal skater that opposing teams can’t seem to defend. With 32 goals on the season, MacKinnon is tied for fourth for goals scored on the season and he will look to add to that tally on Thursday night. While the Carolina Hurricanes fare well against opposing skaters this season, as they allow the 12th fewest goals per game, they also don’t face a talent like MacKinnon every night either. MacKinnon found the back of the net earlier in the season against Carolina and he will find it again on Thursday night. MacKinnon has scored at least one goal in five out his last six games.

The Pick: Nathan MacKinnon anytime goalscorer (-118)
Ilya SorokinNew York Islanders goaltender Ilya Sorokin will have his hands full on Thursday night when he takes on the Tampa Bay Lightning. Tampa has been one of the top offenses this season and has been a big part to their success. As for the Islanders, their defense as a whole hasn’t been up to par. They’ve put a lot of pressure on their goaltenders this season as they allow the second most shots to opposing skaters this season. Sorokin has been stout this season with a .910 save percentage and has had 34, 24, 41, 20 and 40 saves over his past five starts. Look for Sorokin to get tons of action in net on Thursday night.

The Pick: Ilya Sorokin over 27.5 saves (-125)
Connor IngramGoaltender Connor Ingram will have his hands full at home on Thursday night as the defending Stanley Cup Champion, Vegas Golden Knights will be in town. Despite being without Center Jack Eichel, who is out with a knee injury, this Golden Knights offense is still lethal. The Golden Knights come into Thursday night’s matchup as the seventh best team in shots per game and will not slow down against Arizona. Look for Ingram to have to defend a lot of shots that will be coming his direction on Thursday night. Ingram, who has a .916 save percentage, is coming off of back-to-back 30-plus save performances.

The Pick: Connor Ingram over 26.5 saves (-118)
