We now have almost one full month of the NBA season in the books, and certain things are becoming clear. One of those is the fact that commissioner Adam Silver seems to be hitting a sweet spot with hardcore fans in staging his inaugural NBA Cup In-Season Tournament.

Those who do not follow the NBA closely are perplexed by the whole concept while also being mesmerized by the different paint jobs applied to the 29 arena floors. However, it remains to be seen whether fans will flock to Las Vegas when the NBA Cup is awarded in a knockout tournament next month.

We have also learned that the Detroit Pistons are a complete abomination, Victor Wembanyama is going to have more than his share of off nights -- especially against experienced opponents, and the awards futures markets are going to change if certain overachievers keep making people pay closer attention.

Exhibit A among those overachievers is Tyrese Haliburton of the Indiana Pacers, the NBA’s highest-scoring team. He is averaging 12.0 assists, with Trae Young of the Hawks the only other player averaging double figures in that category. Last season, James Harden led the league in with 10.7 assists per game. We still believe that guy will start producing for the Clippers once they have had six to eight weeks of playing time together, but we would not wager a single penny on them at this juncture.

We look for patterns at this point of the season, and then we try to use those patterns to build parlays that win. It makes buying holiday gifts so much easier. Yup, sometimes the simplest strategies are the best. So, let’s look at what would appear to be four good picks that can be parlayed together from tonight’s 14-game slate.

Best NBA Parlays Today – Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2023, 4-Leg Parlay Picks (+1123)

Raptors vs. Pacers Odds, Spread, Moneyline, Over/Under - NBA Betting Lines 11/22

Moneyline: Raptors (+120), Pacers (-140)
Spread:
 Raptors +2.5 (-105), Pacers -2.5 (-115)
Total:
Over/Under 240.5 points

Raptors vs. Pacers Prediction and Pick

The Pacers are currently on a streak of going over in 10 straight games, and the MVP-caliber play of Tyrese Haliburton is a big reason why. The Raptors might try putting OG Anunoby on Haliburton tonight to see how the point guard deals with being defended by a much taller player, but we do not believe that strategy will work. The Pacers have too many players with terrific offensive skills to be held down.

Leg-1 Parlay Pick: Pacers-Raptors over 240.5 (-110)

Nuggets vs. Magic Odds, Spread, Moneyline, Over/Under - NBA Betting Lines 11/22

Moneyline: Nuggets (-170), Magic (+140)
Spread:
 Nuggets -3.5 (-115), Magic +3.5 (-105)
Total:
Over/Under 217.5 points

Nuggets vs. Magic Prediction and Pick

We were tempted to pick the under here because the Nuggets are only 4-10-0 on over/unders, but that line is a paltry 217½, which seems too low for what should be a mismatch despite Orlando’s surprising 9-5 record. The Nuggets are 10-4 and are looking up at the Minnesota Timberwolves in the conference standings, and coach Mike Malone (who along with Nikola Jokic was ejected two nights ago) should have his team refocused and ready to romp against a Magic team ill-equipped to keep Jokic from having a monster night.

Leg-2 Parlay Pick: Nuggets -3½ vs. Magic (-115)

Bulls vs. Thunder Odds, Spread, Moneyline, Over/Under - NBA Betting Lines 11/22

Moneyline: Bulls (+230), Thunder (-275)
Spread:
 Bulls +7.5 (-120), Thunder -7.5 (+100)
Total:
Over/Under 224.5 points

Bulls vs. Thunder Prediction and Pick

The Bulls are an absolute disaster given the size of their payroll and the amount of experience they have on their team, and opposing general managers are circling like sharks around Chicago Executive Vice President, Basketball Operations Arturas Karnisovas trying to gauge whether be will take a low return for Nikola Vucevic, DeMar DeRozan, Zach LaVine, or Alex Caruso. The bottom line is that the Bulls are a team with massive internal issues who will be going against a young and fun Oklahoma City Thunder team that has gone 11-3-0 against the spread.

Leg-3 Parlay Pick: Thunder - 7½ vs. Bulls (+100)

Jazz vs. Trail Blazers Odds, Spread, Moneyline, Over/Under - NBA Betting Lines 11/22

Moneyline: Jazz (-140), Trail Blazers (+120)
Spread:
 Jazz -2.5 (-110), Trail Blazers +2.5 (+110)
Total:
Over/Under 227.5 points

Jazz vs. Trail Blazers Prediction and Pick

If you take a look at the bottom of the Western Conference standings, the L8 (current streak) next to the Portland Trail Blazers speaks volumes. They have been ravaged by injuries following the trades of Damian Lillard to the Bucks and Jrue Holiday to the Celtics, and it is a good bet that the next to go will be Malcolm Brogdon, who could help a contender and would likely bring back a minimum of two first-round picks in a trade. The Jazz have not exactly been killing it but are better than their record (4-10) and should use this game as the starting point for a turnaround.

Leg-4 Parlay Pick: Jazz Moneyline at Portland (-140)

Putting those four picks together produces a parlay with odds of +1043, meaning a $10 wager would return $114.39. Good luck!
