It is quite uncommon for the New York Knicks to have a sustained run of success, and in this day and age – especially during a 50-year championship drought, the level of euphoria is a little out of control heading into a road game tonight against Dallas.

Knicks fans made road trips to Philadelphia and Washington during this victory streak and chanted “Go New York, Go New York, GO!” late in both blowout victories after fans of the home teams had left.

OG Anunoby could run for mayor and crush Eric Adams whether he has a migrant housing plan or not. Water coolers at Manhattan office buildings are the site of folks who bleed orange and blue revealing that they never liked R.J. Barrett all that much when he was a Knick.

Isaiah Hartenstein is now the most popular center since Patrick Ewing, and everyone is on edge wondering whether general manager Leon Rose will leave this roster along or sacrifice a bunch of the extra draft picks he is holding to bring in an additional piece that could make the ‘Bockers a legit championship contender.

Malcolm Brogdon (Portland), Nikola Vucevic (Chicago) and Andrew Wiggins (Warriors) are some of the most prominent names being floated in the rumor mill as the Feb. 8 NBA trade deadline nears.

That is the dynamic the Knicks are taking into a road game at Dallas in which they are favored by 3.5, in large part because Luka Doncic is out for the Mavs. It is one of five games on the NBA slate today, including a matchup in Paris between the Nets and Cavaliers that we are going to stay away from because of the early start time.

The goal here is to take the other four games and put together a 4-leg parlay based upon recent trends and recent injuries. We are going to allow ourselves to drink the Thibodeau kool-aid today because we have been watching the Knicks and they are rejuvenated and stoked.

Best NBA Parlays Today – January 11, 2024: 4-Leg Parlay Picks (+1330)

Knicks vs Mavericks Prediction and Pick

The Knicks are 6-2-0 as a road favorite this season, and the absence of Doncic takes away Dallas’ No. 1 scoring and playmaking option. That means we are going to see an awful lot of Kyrie Irving handling the ball and jacking up shots, with a similar supporting role being played by Tim Hardaway. Knicks frontcourt players Julius Randle and Isaiah Hartenstein have been particularly steady. Anunoby is as steady as Barrett was unsteady, and Josh Hart comes off the bench and does a little of everything without fail. Momentum is squarely on their side.

Leg-1 Parlay Pick: Knicks – 3.5 points at Dallas (-115)

Celtics vs Bucks Prediction and Pick

The common thought when it comes to discussing the NBA’s Eastern Conference is that Boston, Milwaukee and Philadelphia are all pretty much equally good. This sounds fine in theory but may not actually be true. The Celtics are playing the second-night of a back-to-back after an overtime win over West-leading Minnesota last night, while the Bucks are coming off a 16-point home loss to Utah that prompted Giannis Antetokounmpo to call out everyone in the organization, including the equipment manager. We would not be surprised to see the Bucks make a major move, with Khris Middleton and Malik Beasley the two most likely trade candidates.

Leg-2 Parlay Pick: Boston Celtics moneyline over Milwaukee Bucks (+110)

Trail Blazers vs Thunder Prediction and Pick

Thanks to the Detroit Pistons, Washington Wizards and San Antonio Spurs, there has not been all that much focus on the Portland Trail Blazers. Portland went into rebuild mode when they dealt Damian Lillard to the Bucks and then dealt Jrue Holiday to the Celtics. Malcom Brogdon and Jerami Grant are likely the next two to go, and this will be Scoot Henderson’s team for better or worse. They are already mailing it in roughly 80-percent of the time. The Trail Blazers lost to Phoenix by 21, to Dallas by 29 and 36 and to New York by 26 in four of their last five games. The exception was a 7-point overtime victory against Brooklyn, which is fading fast. Oklahoma City is a very good team that needs a win after a recent rough patch, and Portland is the perfect opponent because when they get down, they quit. Yes, it is a big spread, but the spreads against Phoenix, Dallas and New York were only 9.5, 10.5, 7 and 13.

Leg-3 Parlay Pick: Thunder – 12.5 (-110) vs. Trail Blazers.

Suns vs Lakers Prediction and Pick

The Lakers have gone over in 11 of their last 15 games, beating the over by at least 10 points in four of those games. They failed badly (by 23 and 23.5 points) in going under against the Heat and Clippers in two of their past four games, but those are strong defensive teams, and the Suns are not. This game is the second half of a TNT doubleheader and the Lakers will want to shut a few loud mouths (yes, that would be you, Charles Barkley). We expect them to seize upon this opportunity to pile up points from the perimeter. We also expect the same from the Suns, who can get prolific 3-point shooting from Kevin Durant, Bradley Beal, Devin Booker and Grayson Allen on any given night.

Leg-4 Parlay Pick: Lakers-Suns to go over 238.5 points

Put those four picks together at Betway and you get a 4-leg parlay line of +1330, meaning a $10 wager would return $143.09. Good luck!
