Best NHL Player-Prop Bets to consider for Tuesday, January 30, 2024 Robert Thomas Center Robert Thomas is the glue that has held the St. Louis Blues’ attack together this season. Thomas leads all St. Louis skaters in points and assists in 2023-24, and he is tied for the team’s goal-scoring lead. He has been on fire of late with at least one assist in each of his last five games. Goals haven’t come as easily, since Thomas has only found the back of the net once in his last 10 games, but I think his luck will change on Tuesday night. St. Louis’ opponent, the Columbus Blue Jackets, are awful in their own zone and have allowed opponents to generate favorable matchups in every game this season. Look for Thomas to take advantage of the Blue Jackets, who are allowing the NHL’s second-most goals and fourth-most shots on goal.

The Pick: Robert Thomas anytime goalscorer (+187)
Kirill Marchenko Columbus right wing Kirill Marchenko leads all Blue Jackets skaters this season with 15 goals and he’ll look to pick up another one on the road at St. Louis on Tuesday night. The Jackets upset the Blues the last time these teams met, and Marchenko had a big hand in that win with a goal and an assist. He’ll look to lead the Blue Jackets to another upset victory on Tuesday. The Blues are, of course, the favorite here, but St. Louis’ defense is still a weakness with the team allowing opponents the NHL’s eighth-most shots on goal and 13th-most goals per game this season. Marchenko has had at least three shots on goal in each of his last four games, and I expect him to be aggressive again on Tuesday night.

The Pick: Kirill Marchenko over 2.5 shots on goal (+100)
Jared McCann The San Jose Sharks are far and away the worst defensive team in this season’s NHL -- allowing the league’s most goals and shots on goal per game. On Tuesday night, the Sharks will host a Seattle Kraken team whose goal-scoring leader, Jared McCann, has already reached 20 tallies on the season. Overall, Seattle has a rather balanced attack, but when it comes to goals, McCann is seven ahead of the next closest Kraken players. He has found the back of the net in three of his last five games and will look to remain aggressive on Tuesday night against an inferior Sharks defense that should allow more scoring chances for all of Seattle’s skaters. McCann has fired at least two shots on goal in each of his last five games, but he has exceeded his current prop total in just two of them. In a game where defense will be nonexistent – at least when it comes to the Sharks -- give me McCann over on his total shots on goal.

The Pick: Jared McCann over 2.5 shots on goal (-110)
Jordan Eberle Winger Jordan Eberle has had a hot hand for the Seattle Kraken over the past five games –- tallying three goals in that span. He also has five goals over his past 10 games and is about to play against the Sharks, who allow the league’s most goals per game. Since there are only two NHL games on Tuesday night, I’d like to be able to spread the wealth with at least one player prop from all four teams in action. However, I’m not touching anyone from this Sharks team. On the other hand, I’m happy to back another Seattle player, because I think Eberle’s recent success will continue and he’ll score at least once at San Jose.

The Pick: Jordan Eberle anytime goalscorer (+220)
