Best NHL Player-Prop Bets to consider for Thursday, February 15 Joey Daccord Seattle goaltender Joey Daccord was able to beat out 11-year NHL veteran Philipp Grubauer for his team’s No. 1 netminding role this season, and Daccord has been pretty consistent with a .921 save percentage. He is coming off back-to-back games with 30-plus saves, and I’ll be looking at his saves total again on Thursday night, when the Kraken visit the Eastern Conference-leading Boston Bruins. The Bruins will put a lot of pressure on Seattle’s defense, which means they should be able to control this game and make Daccord work very hard in goal.

The Pick: Joey Daccord over 26.5 saves (-125)

Jonathan Quick All NHL fans recognize that the Montreal Canadiens have been awful this season. Whether it involves offense or defense, nothing is going well for the Habs in 2023-24. However, over Montreal’s past few outings, its shooters have become more aggressive -– albeit mostly  against fellow NHL bottom-feeders. Regardless of the opponents, the Canadiens’ increased shot totals are a step in the right direction. On Thursday, the Habs visit Madison Square Garden, where they will face New York Rangers goaltender Jonathan Quick. The 38-year-old has been amazing this season in re-establishing himself as one of the NHL’s top goalies. If the Canadiens manage to fire 26 to 30 shots on Thursday -- a number they have exceeded in four of their last five games -- then Quick will easily hit his prop total for saves.

The Pick: Jonathan Quick over 24.5 saves (-111)
Andrei Vasilevskiy One of Thursday night’s marquee matchups pits the Colorado Avalanche against the Tampa Bay Lightning. Both teams are electric on offense, which is what the fans will love to see from this game between two recent Stanley Cup champions at Tampa’s Amalie Arena. Lightning goaltender Andrei Vasilevskiy will have his hands full against the NHL’s highest-scoring offense this season. Colorado leads the league with 3.70 goals per game and ranks eighth with 32.6 shots per game. Tampa Bay has done a better job at limiting shots on goal this season, but the Bolts have still struggled in that department. Meanwhile, Colorado should have no trouble handling the Lightning defense and will keep pressure on Vasilevskiy for the entire night. This is my favorite prop for Thursday, as I’ll be going with the over on Vasilevskiy’s save total.

The Pick: Andrei Vasilevskiy over 26.5 saves (-125)
Jordan Binnington The St. Louis Blues will have a tough test on their hands Thursday when the Edmonton Oilers come to town. Edmonton brings one of the NHL’s highest-scoring offenses into St. Louis to face a Blues defense that is giving up the league’s ninth-most shots on goal per game this season. Look for the Oilers to exploit this Blues weakness on Thursday night, forcing the home team’s goalie, Jordan Binnington, to bring his “A game.” If he doesn’t, this one could get out of hand in a hurry. Binnington, who has a .909 save percentage this season, will be relied on heavily Thursday night.

The Pick: Jordan Binnington over 28.5 saves (-125)
