Best NHL Playoffs Player Prop Bets Tonight - Tuesday, April 18th

Rangers vs Devils Player Prop BetsPatrick KanePlayoff hockey has finally arrived, and this is why the New York Rangers acquired Patrick Kane. The Rangers will rely on the winger to spark their offense Tuesday night against a New Jersey Devils team whose goaltender, Vitek Vanecek, doesn’t give up many goals. Allowing the eighth-fewest goals per game and the fifth-fewest shots on goal per game, this Devils defense is stout. With a top-5 offense added to the mix, the Devils are really going to put pressure on the Rangers each time they have the puck. Look for the Rangers to work through Kane to capitalize on their possessions and get good quality shots.

The Pick: Patrick Kane over 2.5 shots on goal (+100)Tampa Bay Lighting vs Toronto Maple Leafs Player Prop Bets Nikita Kucherov

The Tampa Bay Lightning will look to spoil the Maple Leafs’ season by extending Toronto’s run of first-round playoff exits. Nearly two decades have passed since the Leafs last reached the second round of the Stanley Cup playoffs in 2004. Toronto led its series with Tampa Bay 3-2 in the opening round a year ago, but the Lightning fought back to win the final two games and advance. Facing an improved Maple Leafs team that allowed the NHL’s seventh-fewest goals and shots on goal per game during the regular season, the Lightning will find this Toronto defense tough. Lightning wingman Nikita Kucherov has had success in the past against the Maple Leafs and will likely find it again on Tuesday night. Expect him to be aggressive, as Kucherov should take most of the shots on goal for the Lightning in this series opener.

The Pick: Nikita Kucherov over 2.5 shots on goal (-167)

Winnipeg Jets vs Vegas Golden Knights Player Prop Bets Jack Eichel

The Winnipeg Jets fought their way into the postseason this year. Much of the credit for that goes to their defense, which allowed the NHL’s 10th-fewest goals and shots on goal per game. Winnipeg will try to flex its defensive muscle in Vegas on Tuesday night against a Golden Knights offense that is slightly above average. One player the Jets must key in on is center Jack Eichel, who leads his team in points and has been a tough matchup for all opposing defenses.

The Pick: Jack Eichel over 2.5 shots on goal (-175)

Seattle Kraken vs Colorado Avalanche Player Prop Bets

Nathan MacKinnon

On a quest to repeat as Stanley Cup champions, the Colorado Avalanche open the playoffs against a Seattle team that has really made strides this season. The Kraken can hold their own defensively -- allowing the NHL’s second-fewest shots on goal per game during the regular season. They also have a top offense that scores 3.52 goals per game. Seattle, however, must deal with an experienced and red-hot Avalanche team that went 10-1-1 over its 12 games. Colorado center Nathan MacKinnon, who leads the Avs in assists and points, is a big reason for that success. A crucial part of the Avalanche’s Stanley Cup run last year, MacKinnon will be a crucial part again on Tuesday night. Look for him to set the tone early with a goal.

The Pick: Nathan MacKinnon anytime goalscorer (-125)
