Packers fans have plenty to look forward to in 2024: they have a loaded young roster on both sides of the ball.

Ranking the Top 10 Green Bay Packers Players from the 2023-24 NFL Season to consider for betting

  1. Zach Tom

Position: Offensive Line
2023 stats: 17 games
Career stats: 26 games

2022 Green Bay Packers fourth-round pick Zach Tom struggled as a rookie in sporadic playing time, failing to secure a starting spot on the Packers offensive line. This season, he secured a starting job and didn’t look back, starting all 17 contests and improving tremendously.

PFF named Tom to their All-Breakout team for 2023, as he ranked 15th amongst all tackles in PFF rush-blocking and 23rd for PFF pass-blocking. Tom allowed just two sacks on the season. He will be an important cog for QB Jordan Love for years to come.

  1. Darnell Savage

Position: Safety
2023 stats: 10 games, 1 PD, 51 tackles, 0 INT
Career stats: 72 games, 32 PD, 302 tackles, 9 INT

Packers S Darnell Savage’s most memorable moment of the 2023 season was a pick-six in the playoffs against the Dallas Cowboys at Jerry’s World. He only played in 10 regular season contests in 2023 and didn’t quite accumulate the same counting stats as in previous seasons.

However, Savage is still one of the veteran leaders on a painfully young Green Bay squad. The former first-round draft pick is a free-agent ahead of the 2024 NFL season.

  1. Romeo Doubs

Position: Wide Receiver
2023 stats: 17 games, 59 receptions, 674 yards, 8 TDs
Career stats: 30 games, 101 receptions, 1099 yards, 11 TDs

Packers WR Romeo Doubs earned a spot on this list on the back of his strong 2023/24 postseason. In two playoff games (on the road against tough opposition), Doubs went for 234 yards and a TD as the Packers came one score away from an unlikely NFC Championship Appearance.

The 2022 fourth-round pick was a 2022 training camp darling, doing enough to earn serious playing time before injuries curtailed his rookie season. He has yet to explode during the regular season and the Packers do feature a strong cadre of young wide receivers, but look for Doubs to separate himself from the “pack” in 2024.

Want a good Packers 2024 prop bet? Take the over on Romeo Doubs' receiving yards.

  1. Rashan Gary

Position: Defensive End / Outside Linebacker
2023 stats: 17 games, 9.0 sacks, 44 tackles, 7 TFL, 2 FF
Career stats: 73 games, 31.5 sacks, 179 tackles, 30 TFL 5 FF

Perhaps more was expected out of Packers DE Rashan Gary when the team took him 12th overall in the 2019 NFL Draft. While he’s never made a Pro Bowl, Gary has consistently been amongst Green Bay’s best pass rushers for the past half-decade. His 9.0 sacks led the team in 2023.

Gary’s 79.0 PFF grade in 2023 ranked 21st amongst edge players, thanks in part to his 66 pressures and 16% pass-rush win rate (courtesy of Packerswire.com). Is a superstar leap coming in 2024?

Gary is certainly one of the most underrated players on the Packers.

  1. Kenny Clark

Position: Defensive Tackle
2023 stats: 17 games, 7.5 sacks, 44 tackles, 9 TFL, 2 FF
Career stats: 123 games, 34.0 sacks, 380 tackles, 47 TFL, 7 FF

Packers defensive tackle Kenny Clark has been the team’s most steady presence on defense since Green Bay selected him in the first round of the 2016 NFL Draft. The 3x Pro Bowler notched his third appearance in 2023 thanks to a career-best 7.5 sacks.

Clark’s 66 pressures were the sixth-most amongst all NFL defensive linemen. He’s currently wrapping up a four-year, $70 million extension signed in 2020.

  1. Elgton Jenkins

Position: Offensive Guard
2023 stats: 15 games
Career stats: 70 games

Remember that dominant Green Bay offensive line we mentioned? The second member of this list is incumbent OG Elgton Jenkins, whom the team rewarded with a four-year, $68 million extension ahead of the 2023 season. How did he repay their faith? By making his second Pro Bowl squad.

PFF ranked Jenkins as the seventh-best guard in the NFL entering the 2023 season -- he did nothing this season to put that ranking in doubt. He remains a fixture in the Packers starting lineup.

  1. David Bakhtiari

Position: Offensive Tackle
2023 stats: 1 games
Career stats: 131 games

The only thing holding current Packers starting OT David Bakhtiari from ranking higher on this list. He played just one contest in 2023 after playing just 11 games in 2022 and one game in 2021.

From 2018-2020, Bakhtiari was arguably the best tackle in the NFL. The 4x Pro Bowler was a First-team All-Pro in both 2018 and 2020 -- will he return to his elite form in 2024? The Packers certainly hope so.

  1. Jaire Alexander

Position: Cornerback
2023 stats: 7 games, 0 PD, 0 INT, 27 tackles
Career stats: 71 games, 63, 10 INT, 271 tackles

2023 was certainly not Packers CB Jaire Alexander’s finest. He was suspended one game for some coin toss antics and only appeared in seven contests, failing to record an interception for the first time in his career.

Alexander is currently the highest-paid defensive back in the NFL, a contract he earned on the back of his Pro Bowl 2022 season. He was arguably the best CB in the entire NFL in 2020, allowing just 4.2 yards/target and a 42.3% completion percentage while in coverage -- both were the best marks in the league.

Want a good Packers player prop? Take the over on Alexander’s interceptions in 2024.

  1. Aaron Jones

Position: Running Back
2023 stats: 11 games, 656 rushing yards, 4.6 yards/attempt, 2 rush TDs, 30 rec, 233 rec yards, 1 rec TD
Career stats: 97 games, 5,940 rushing yards, 5.0 yards/attempt, 45 rush TDs, 272 rec, 2,076 rec yards, 18 rec TDs

Somehow, Packers RB Aaron Jones has only cracked one Pro Bowl in his seven-year Green Bay career. He’s topped 1,000+ rushing yards on three occasions and 1,450 total yards three times. Jones led the NFL with 16 rushing touchdowns in 2019… and didn’t crack the Pro Bowl.

Jones missed six games with injuries in 2023 but was still as effective as ever. He shined in Green Bay’s two postseason contests, rushing for 226 yards and two scores.

  1. Jordan Love

Position: Quarterback
2023 stats: 9-8 record, 64.2% comp, 4,159 yards, 32-11 TD-INT
Career stats: 9-9 record, 63.7% comp, 4,765 yards, 35-14 TD-INT

Why is Green Bay QB Jordan Love not only the Packers' most-important player, but also the Packers’ best player from 2023?

Love was effectively a Packers 2023 rookie: the 2020 first-round pick had only started one NFL game entering the season. He took the starting job and looks to have made it his for the long-term future, throwing for 4,159 yards and 35 touchdowns to put all naysayers to rest.

The real test: what does Love have for an encore?

Parameters of Rankings

Rankings are made based on a combination of 1) 2023 success, 2) past pedigree, 3) positional value, and 4) impact on team culture.
