Best Same Game Parlay Week 6 bets today for 49ers vs. Browns: 2-Leg Parlay Pick (+1000)

Passing TDs

As I just said, this is going to be a game in which Cleveland quarterback PJ Walker shocks the world. I recognize that a lot of people are already locking in their 49ers future bets in the wake of San Francisco’s 42-10 win over the Dallas Cowboys last weekend. Indeed, in that game against the Cowboys, the 49ers made the NFL’s eighth-ranked offense endure nothing but turmoil and struggle. However, this is a new week, and even great teams are capable of underperforming at times. Look for Walker to benefit from a Browns defense that will give him an excellent field position to start his drives. When Walker played in Carolina last season, the Panthers limited his opportunities, held back his creativity, and prevented him from playing his style of football. Since Cleveland has nothing to lose in this game against a heavily-favored opponent, I expect the Browns to unleash Walker and let him command the offense.

Leg-1 SGP Pick: PJ Walker 2+ Passing Touchdowns (+400)

Passing Yards

The Browns defense will be able to ensure that quarterback PJ Walker and the Cleveland offense start their drives with favorable field position. That’s just gravy for Walker, who is already talented enough to move the ball down the field. He’ll do just that -- even against this stout 49ers defense -- on Sunday. Walker has great weapons at his disposal in wide receivers Amari Cooper and Elijah Moore, plus a great tight end in David Njoku. Cleveland running back Jerome Ford has also demonstrated that he can play a role in the passing game. Walker threw for 317 yards when the Panthers let him loose last season against the Atlanta Falcons. Yes, that was Atlanta’s defense rather than San Francisco’s, but Walker has what it takes to get the job done on Sunday.

Leg-2 SGP Pick: PJ Walker 225+ Passing Yards (+340)

We have reached Week 6 of the 2023 NFL season, and the playoff-race tension is starting to heat up as teams settle into their identities. At this point in the season, injuries begin to pile up, and teams begin to assess their needs before what could shape up to be an interesting trade deadline. Only two of the league’s teams remain undefeated, and we’ll be taking a look at one of them here in our predictions for the San Francisco 49ers’ game at Cleveland on Sunday.

49ers vs. Browns Odds, Spread, Moneyline, Over/Under - NFL Odds Week 6

Moneyline: San Francisco 49ers -500, Cleveland Browns +375
Spread: 49ers -9 (-110), Browns +9 (-110)
Total: Over/Under 35.5 points

49ers at Browns Preview

On Friday, the Cleveland Browns announced that starting quarterback Deshaun Watson’s injured shoulder will keep him out of Sunday’s home game against the unbeaten San Francisco 49ers. It will be the second straight game Watson has missed due to injury. Cleveland, coming off its bye week, will go with PJ Walker, an XFL legend, as its starting QB. As soon as Watson was ruled out on Friday, the spread that favors San Francisco – which had opened at 4.5 points – increased to nearly 10 points. Without Watson in Cleveland’s driver’s seat, many oddsmakers now see the 49ers as a lock to win this game. However, let's pump the brakes on such speculation for a moment and dive into our own analysis of this matchup.

49ers vs. Browns Predictions and NFL Picks Week 6

Cleveland’s defense has been both stingy and elite this season.  The Browns allow opponents the league’s fewest total yards per game, the fewest passing yards, and the fourth-fewest rushing yards. This will challenge a 49ers offense that hasn’t really been tested yet this season even though San Francisco is scoring 33.4 points per game -- the second highest average in the NFL. While many of the experts appear ready to crown 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy as a top candidate for the league’s MVP award, I would ask them to at least wait until after this matchup before making such a declaration. This Browns defense will surely test Purdy and the rest of the 49ers’ star-studded team. I understand that some people will want to write off the Browns because Deshaun Watson is out, but PJ Walker is one of the NFL’s most underrated backup quarterbacks and truly deserves to be starter in this league. I’m not going to go so far as to recommend the Browns as a money-line pick here, because the 49ers are loaded from top to bottom on both offense and defense. However, look for a combination of the Browns defense and Walker’s performance to cover this spread.

The Pick: Cleveland Browns +9 (-110)

This is one of the hardest over/under totals that I have been faced with this season, because I can honestly see this game going either way. Both defenses are stout, and even with PJ Walker leading the Browns offense instead of Deshaun Jackson, I can see both offenses having success in this game. That said, I’d recommend staying off of the total here, but if I had to choose, I’d lean toward the under. Walker is going to have to find chemistry with his receivers, and Purdy is about to face the toughest defense he has gone up against in his brief NFL career.

The Pick: Under 35.5 (-105)

Best NFL Player Prop Bets for 49ers vs. Browns: Sunday Night Football Week 6

PJ Walker

Browns quarterback PJ Walker, who will start in place of the injured Deshaun Watson on Sunday, is very underrated, and he is going to show NFL fans his worth against the stout 49ers defense. I’m not saying Walker is better than Watson, but Cleveland won’t see a big dropoff in production at the quarterback position as a result of this change. In addition, I expect the Browns defense to cause problems for the 49ers -- enabling Cleveland to start some of its drives with good field position. The Browns will have red-zone opportunities in this game, and Walker will punch at least one into the end zone. Walker’s player prop has so much value because the oddsmakers do not fully appreciate his talent, let alone know much about his game. Don’t be surprised when Walker shocks the NFL world on Sunday.

The Pick: PJ Walker over 0.5 Passing Touchdowns (-125)
