What a treat we football fans have on our hands. Week 11 of the NFL season comes to a close with a Super Bowl rematch between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday Night Football. There should be plenty of drama, emotion, and intensity on Monday as these teams meet for the first time since the league’s championship game in February. Let’s take a closer look at one of the most eagerly-awaited games of this NFL season.

Eagles at Chiefs Preview

The Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs were the two best teams in the NFL entering Week 11, and a prime-time audience will see just how good they are in this Monday night game that the entire football world will be watching. It was an instant classic back in February when the Chiefs squeaked out their Super Bowl LVII victory over the Eagles in a 38-35 thriller. Revenge is surely on the Philadelphia players’ minds, which should turn this game into another instant classic. The Eagles come into this matchup on a three-game winning streak, while the Chiefs are coming off a bye week that followed their 21-14 win over the Miami Dolphins on Nov. 5. This showdown gave us some great football in February, and fans should expect nothing less on Monday night.

Eagles vs. Chiefs Predictions and Picks

As was the case in February’s Super Bowl, the team that gets the final possession in this game will likely come out on top, because both offenses are lethal. The Eagles have the NFL’s third-highest-scoring offense. Statistically, the 13th-ranked Chiefs don’t come close to Philly’s ranking, but what football fan would ever count out an offense led by quarterback Patrick Mahomes? The Chiefs’ offense has definitely been inconsistent this season -- not measuring up to the lofty standards it has set in past. However, Kansas City’s defense has been stout in allowing opponents the NFL’s fewest points per game and the third-fewest yards per game. In the Chiefs’ Week 9 win over the Dolphins, who lead the NFL offensively with 31.7 points per game, Kansas City’s defense held Miami to just 14 points. It will get tested again by an Eagles’ offense that has been clicking this season. Philadelphia wide receiver A.J. Brown has been virtually impossible to cover, but it’s tough to overlook Kansas City’s potential to win this game at home. Thanks to some immaculate strategizing throughout his career, Chiefs head coach Andy Reid is 28-4 all-time when coming out of a bye week. Give me the Chiefs here.

The Pick: Kansas City Chiefs -2.5 (-120)

While the Chiefs have the NFL’s best defense and just managed to shut down the league’s best offense against Miami two weeks ago in Germany, this Monday night game is unique. Given that this is a Super Bowl rematch, I would be very impressed to see Kanas City manage to shut down another one of the league’s top three offenses. The Eagles have only scored fewer than 20 points once this season. That happened when Philadelphia suffered its only loss of the year to the New York Jets on Oct. 15. The Eagles scored only 14 points in that road game. Although the Jets’ excellent defense is not even as statistically good as Kansas City’s, I think that, given the circumstances, the Eagles are going to find ways to score in this game. While one player hardly makes a team, the Eagles lost offensive tackle Lane Johnson early in their game against the Jets, and it was only after he exited that Philadelphia really struggled to score and move the football. I don’t expect to see both teams break 30 points the way they did in the Super Bowl, but I expect enough points to exceed this total. Give me the over on Monday night.

The Pick: Over 45.5 (-110)

Best NFL Player-Prop Bets for Eagles vs. Chiefs: Monday Night Football Week 11

Travis Kelce

A few weeks have gone by since we last saw Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes’ favorite weapon, tight end Travis Kelce, have a great game. In his last start before the bye week on Nov. 5, Kelce only had 14 receiving yards. One week earlier against Denver, he had 58. On Monday night, Kelce will go up against an Eagles defense that ranks in the middle of the NFL pack when it comes to defending against the tight end position. Since Kansas City does not have an established go-to wide receiver, Kelce will remain Mahomes’ top target in this game and for the remainder of the season. With his full family in attendance, including a certain new girlfriend named Taylor, I expect Kelce to have a big night on Monday in this Super Bowl rematch against his brother Jason’s Eagles team.

The Pick: Travis Kelce over 75.5 receiving yards (-115)

Best Same-Game Parlay Week 11 bets today for Eagles vs. Chiefs: 3-Leg Parlay Pick (+625)

Passing TDsQuarterback Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs offense have not met expectations this season. However, this will change on Monday night against an Eagles defense that allows opposing offenses the NFL’s fourth-most passing yards per game. The Eagles’ secondary has provided cupcake coverage all season, and this game should be a momentum-builder for Mahomes and a Chiefs offense looking to find its groove as it approaches the season’s final weeks.

Leg-1 SGP Pick: Patrick Mahomes 3+ Passing Touchdowns (+160)

A.J. Brown Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown has been virtually unguardable. He has single-handedly changed the Eagles’ offense and passing game. Throughout this season, Brown has shown that there is no play or catch he can’t make. After catching passes for at least 125 receiving yards in every game from Week 3 to Week 8, Brown has already made a case for the league’s MVP award. In his last game, he was held to just 66 yards by Dallas, so a bounce-back performance against the team that crushed his Super Bowl dreams can be expected.

Leg-2 SGP Pick: A.J. Brown 100+ Receiving Yards (+175)

Total GoalsThis game is going to be a shootout. I know that prime-time games have gone under significantly more times than they have gone over this year, but this will not be the case here. The Eagles’ secondary isn’t going to be able to slow down Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and this offense. Meanwhile, Philadelphia will keep pressure on Kansas City with wide receiver A.J. Brown and a strong rushing attack. Get your popcorn ready, because this game will be a show.

Leg-3 SGP Pick: Over 49.5 (+110)
