The Miami Dolphins defense has been quite the disappointment this season. Ranking just outside the middle of the pack in both categories, the Dolphins have allowed 24 points and 362.8 total yards per game.
On the other side of the football, their offense gives opposing defensive coordinators nightmares. Averaging 380.6 total yards per game, the Dolphins have been able to move the ball, but finishing drives have been a problem at times as they average a modest 22.3 points per game.
As for the Chicago Bears, they come into this game as one of the best pass defenses in the league as they allow 188 passing yards per game. The only defenses that rank better against the pass are the Dallas Cowboys, the Philadelphia Eagles, the Green Bay Packers, and the Denver Broncos. There are, however, some key factors to pay attention to when talking about that stat as they’ve faced some so-so starting quarterbacks this season and their run defense ranks second to last in the league.
While the Dolphins defense remains a question mark, the Bears just won’t be able to keep up in this game. With wide receivers Jaylen Waddle and Tyreek Hill on the outside, Bears cornerbacks Jaylon Johnson and Kindle Vildor, who’ve both had good seasons, will be truly tested in this one. The Dolphins run game has been next to awful this season as they rank 27th in the NFL in rushing yards per game with 88.1, but running backs Raheem Mostert and Jeff Wilson, who were teammates before, will get this run game going on Sunday.

The Green Bay Packers come into this game on a four-game losing streak and quarterback Aaron Rodgers is probably one more loss away from pulling an Antonio Brown. Kidding, kidding, but the energy in the locker room isn’t excitement that’s for sure. As for the Detroit Lions, they’re off to a 1-6 start and it looks like this season will be a continued rebuild for them.
Despite their 1-6 start, the Detroit Lions have one of the best offenses in the NFL as they average 24.7 points per game, and rank third in the NFL in total yards per game with an average of 394.9. The end result is that their defense ranks dead last as they allow 32.1 points per game to opposing offenses.
The Lions can move the football and they will against this mediocre Packers defense. The Packers, who’ve struggled on offense as Rodgers is still building a connection with new rookie wide receiver Romeo Doubs, will finally catch stride in this one. Expect a super high-scoring game.

Titans vs Chiefs Predictions and Pick
The Tennessee Titans have suffered injury after injury this season and yet, as we enter Week 9, they sit at 5-2. If that doesn’t put head coach Mike Vrabel in the running for coach of the year then I don’t know what will. Obviously what Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni is doing in Philadelphia as his team remains the only unbeaten team in the NFL is very impressive. But just don’t sleep on this Titans team.
With a defense that’s starting to get healthier, they’ll cause headaches for the Chiefs offense on Sunday night. The Chiefs defense enters this game as the third-best run defense in the league allowing an average of 92 rushing yards per game. The only two defenses ahead of them are the Titans and the San Francisco 49ers. While the Chiefs run defense will be a test for the Titans, running back Derrick Henry will pose a serious test for Kansas City.
Titans starting quarterback Ryan Tannehill is questionable for Sunday night’s game, and if he can’t go then rookie quarterback Malik Willis will make his second career start. Willis, who was harped on for not having a great game as he passed for 55 yards and an interception on 10 attempts, wasn’t needed last week against the Houston Texans. The only thing he needed to do was hand the ball off to Henry as he rushed for 219 yards and two touchdowns.
While the Titans run defense has been stout this year, their pass defense has been riddled by injuries and ranks towards the bottom of the league, allowing an average of 254.7 passing yards per game. I don’t care who starts at quarterback in this one, it’s just too many points for buttoned-up team and well-oiled Derrick Henry. Give me the 12 all night.

Romeo Doubs
Doubs, a rookie who was a top-tier wide receiver for the Nevada Wolfpack last season, is starting to build chemistry with quarterback Aaron Rodgers. They face a Lions defense that is the worst in the league, while the Lions offense, as I touched on above, is one of the best in the league. So, the scoring will be there and this game will be close so Rodgers will be passing a lot.
Second-year cornerback AJ Parker will be the guy that Rodgers likely picks on. Parker, who’s set to guard Doubs on Sunday, will be in for a long day. The rookie tears up this Lions secondary this week and this number is just way too low.
