I’ve never been more confused by a spread in my entire life before. How are the Tennessee Titans only two-point favorites in this game? Yes, they had a rough first two weeks but they were still adjusting to the key loss of Harold Landry who hurt a ligament in his knee which is going to cause him to miss the entire season. One of those games was also against the Buffalo Bills who were red-hot on opening night against the Los Angeles Rams.

The Commanders had an impressive come-from-behind victory in Week 1, but I still blame a lot of that loss on the Jacksonville Jaguars' mistakes. After that, it's been all downhill from there and it will continue that way for at least another week for Washington fans. Cornerbacks William Jackson and Kendall Fuller can’t cover anyone. So expect big days from Robert Woods and Nick Westbrook-Ikhine. Washington’s defense has yet to allow a 100-yard rusher this season too, and that will change on Sunday too as Derrick Henry will have a huge game.

Eagles @ Cardinals Predictions & Pick for Week 5The Philadelphia Eagles without a doubt enter this week as the best team in football. However, their defense still concerns me. They allowed the Detroit Lions to score 35 in Week 1 and the Jaguars jumped out to an early 14-0 lead. Yes, one of those touchdowns by the Jaguars was a pick-six, but I still have some questions that need to be answered by this team.

As for the Cardinals, there’s a clear disconnect between head coach Kliff Kingsbury and quarterback Kyler Murray, but Carolina Panthers or not, they were able to at least put together another decent outing that resulted in a victory.

The Cardinals offense has holes, while the Eagles offense will thrive in this one. The Cardinals have lost seven straight home games, with their last win coming last year in Week 7 over the Texans. I don’t like a side in this one, but I do like the over.

Cowboys @ Rams Predictions & Pick for Week 5The Dallas Cowboys defense and defensive coordinator Dan Quinn should be getting all the praise in Dallas as they’ve single-handedly kept this team afloat while Dak Prescott has been sidelined with a thumb injury. Instead, analysts and even owner Jerry Jones are praising head coach Mike McCarthy, and I couldn’t tell you why.

Cowboys fans, if you thought Jason Garrett was bad, Mike McCarthy is even worse. Don’t forget who McCarthy selected as his defensive coordinator when he got the job, Mike Nolan, who is the worst defensive coordinator in NFL history. I’m not kidding, give it a quick google search. But Quinn was able to take that defense, the worst in the league, and convert them into a top-10 defense in just an offseason. And in year two under Quinn, this defense is looking even better.

As for the defending champions, they’ve been a shell of what they were last year and I don’t see anything changing. The losses of Andrew Whitworth, Odell Beckham Jr., Von Miller, and Sebastian Joseph-Day are too critical for the Rams. The only time they looked good was against the Atlanta Falcons and they barely squeaked a victory in that game.

Backup quarterback or not, this Dallas Cowboys defense is just too good and will cause headaches for the Rams offense. Give me +5 all day with a sprinkle on the moneyline.

Look for both offenses to have big days in this one and, as both teams have kickers with lethal legs, I’d probably expect maybe one or two punts in this one. Get your popcorn ready if you like offensive games.
