The best month of the college basketball season has finally arrived. We have now entered March, which means the Madness is about to begin. As all Division I teams close out their regular seasons and look ahead to the NCAA Tournament, the last few remaining games can be pivotal for schools on the March Madness bubble.

Teams that still have a chance to qualify for the Big Dance will be looking to draw attention from the tournament selection committee over the next several days before major conference tournaments begin next week. With an action-packed Wednesday slate on tap, let’s dive in and see which teams are catching my eye.

Best College Basketball Parlays Today – Wednesday, March 6, 4-Leg Parlay Picks (+412)

Houston vs. Central Florida Prediction and Pick

The No. 1-ranked Houston Cougars have been one of college basketball’s top teams for quite some time now, as this program continues to produce teams capable of winning the national championship. Only two games remain in the Cougars’ 2023-24 regular season schedule, and they will be looking to head into the Big 12 Conference tournament by winning both.

Riding a seven-game winning streak and with victories in 12 of their last 13 games, the Cougars (26-3) will be in Orlando, Florida, on Wednesday night to face the University of Central Florida Knights at Addition Financial Arena.

UCF has already played spoiler at home against a few teams this season. The Knights are 11-6 on their own court, having upset No. 14 Kansas earlier in the year and more recently knocking off No. 23 Texas Tech.

Upsetting Houston could be just what the Knights need heading into next week’s Big-12 Tournament. However, if the Knights expect the Cougars to look past to them and instead focus on their upcoming game against Kansas on Saturday, then the UCF players are in for a surprise. Houston coach Kelvin Sampson runs a very disciplined program, and he will not let his players lose their focus for this game.

Look for Cougars guard Jamal Shead to set the tone defensively while Houston’s NCAA-leading defense works to suffocate UCF on Wednesday night. With nearly all five Houston starters averaging double-digit points totals, this team is very hard to beat. It is extremely poised offensively and stout defensively.

The Cougars will take care of business on Wednesday night and head back home, where they’ll look to close the regular season by beating Kansas for their ninth straight win.

Leg 1 Parlay Pick: Houston ML (-400)

St. Bonaventure vs. George Washington Prediction and Pick

Both St. Bonaventure and George Washington will need to win the Atlantic 10 Conference championship next week if either team plans to reach this year’s NCAA Tournament. These teams have simply not done enough in the 2023-24 regular season to be assured of qualifying for March Madness.

Although St. Bonaventure enters this game with only 10 losses – and the Bonnies have certainly fared much better than George Washington (14-15) – this team has had a lot of letdown games this season. Playing on the road Wednesday, the Bonnies can’t afford another one of those subpar performances.

An outright Atlantic 10 championship would give the Bonnies an automatic NCAA bid, but if they can close the regular season with two more wins and make a significant run in next week’s Atlantic 10 tournament, they might have a legitimate argument for inclusion in the Big Dance.

St. Bonaventure certainly has enough talent in Mika Adams-Woods, Moses Flowers, Charles Pride, and big man Chad Venning to make some noise this month. However, the Bonnies’ inconsistent play in Atlantic 10 games could be the reason they get left out on Selection Sunday. On Wednesday night, St. Bonaventure need to show why it belongs in March Madness by scoring a convincing road victory over an inferior George Washington team.

Leg 2 Parlay Pick: St. Bonaventure ML (-334)
Louisiana State vs. Arkansas Prediction and Pick

The LSU Tigers and Arkansas Razorbacks will meet for the second time this season on Wednesday night in Fayetteville, Ark., where the home team will look to avenge its 95-74 loss at LSU earlier this season. This is a key rematch on the Razorbacks’ Senior Night, but the LSU team is heating up at the right time and playing much better basketball than it was exhibiting when it beat Arkansas on Feb. 3.

Of course, that same argument can be made for Arkansas guard Khalif Battle, who has averaged 37.3 points over his last three games. Battle’s phenomenal performances haven’t turned all of those games into Razorback wins, because Arkansas is only 1-2 during that stretch, but they have made this Arkansas team much harder to beat.

This rematch will look very different from the Feb. 3 game, because LSU guard Jalen Cook, his team’s second-leading scorer with 20 points in that earlier meeting, is currently suspended. In addition, the red-hot Battle will be playing a full game this time instead of just the nine minutes he saw at LSU.

Battle is playing what is arguably the best basketball in the country right now, and LSU’s 220th-ranked defense isn’t going to slow him down. Look for Arkansas to send its seniors off the right way on Wednesday and expect Battle to put on a show at Bud Walton Arena as he’ll look to deliver a win on Senior Night.

Leg 3 Parlay Pick: Arkansas ML (-170)
Texas Christian vs. West Virginia Prediction and Pick

The Big 12 has been loaded with talent this season, and it’s arguably the best conference in college basketball. Some fuel could be added to that argument on Wednesday night if West Virginia upsets Texas Christian at home.

The Mountaineers currently sit in second-to-last place in the Big 12, and their only chance of reaching the NCAA Tournament would be with a flawless March that leads to a Big 12 Tournament championship. However, a win on Senior Night is the only thing on the West Virginia players’ minds right now, and they will have a chance to get it on Wednesday.

TCU embarrassed West Virginia with an 81-65 win when the teams met on Feb. 12, and the Horned Frogs will be looking for a season sweep on Wednesday night. Still, with three out of five starters celebrating Senior Night at West Virginia, the Mountaineers will not go down easily in this one.

West Virginia has dealt with a lot of adversity this season. The transfer portal stirred up the Mountaineers, and adjustments had to be made with many new faces on the roster. Injuries also hurt them, with big man Jesse Edwards missing some time for that reason. Edwards was healthy and played in the first matchup against TCU, but foul trouble hindered his effectiveness in that game.

On Feb. 24, West Virginia had the Big 12’s No. 2 team, Iowa State, on the ropes before losing 71-64. The Mountaineers then fell apart in an overtime loss at Kansas State. This team is clearly due for a win and will look to honor its seniors with one on Wednesday.

Expect Edwards to command the paint on both ends of the court and set the tone for this game early. He will be determined to lead West Virginia to victory on Senior Night.

Leg 4 Parlay Pick: West Virginia ML (+165)
