The college basketball season continues this weekend with March Madness still three months away. The transfer portal has changed the face of NCAA hoops, so it’s important to really get to know these teams long before tournament time. There are several great games on tap for Saturday night, including No. 8 Creighton vs. Alabama. Let’s take a look at some key wagering opportunities that make up a four-leg parlay.

Best College Basketball Parlays Today - Saturday, Dec. 16: 4-Leg Parlay Picks (+516)

West Virginia vs. Massachusetts Prediction and Pick

West Virginia visits Massachusetts for a 6:30 p.m. ET tipoff on Saturday in what will be the first true test for this season’s Minutemen (5-2). While West Virginia’s 4-5 record might not seem that imposing, the overall Mountaineers team is full of talent and will make life tough for UMass. West Virginia’s trio of center Jesse Edwards, forward Quinn Slazinski, and guard Kobe Johnson is a lethal combination that is improving its chemistry game by game. The Mountaineers’ non-conference schedule has certainly tested them, as they have already had to play against SMU, Virginia, St. John’s, and Pittsburgh. UMass' schedule to date can’t compete with what West Virginia has seen. Minutemen big men Matt Cross and Josh Cohen definitely pose a threat to opponents, and their ability to stretch the floor at their size creates a matchup nightmare. However, Edwards and Slazinski should have no trouble handling those two. Give me the Mountaineers on the moneyline.

Leg-1 Parlay Pick: West Virginia ML (-163)
Dayton vs. Cincinnati Prediction and Pick

An Ohio in-state rivalry resumes on Saturday evening when the Dayton Flyers and Cincinnati Bearcats go head-to-head at the Heritage Bank Center in Cincinnati. Separated by only 50 miles, these teams have faced each other 91 times over the years, but this is their first game against each other since 2010. Both programs have the talent to reignite this rivalry in a hurry after a 13-year break. Dayton features an elite scoring attack that ranks 18th in the nation in effective field-goal percentage and 10th in 3-point percentage. Flyers forward DaRon Holmes II has been the main engine for his team all season in averaging 16.3 points and 6.9 rebounds per game.

Cincinnati doesn’t have Dayton’s impressive numbers in terms of effective field-goal percentage and 3-point percentage, but the Bearcats do a great job limiting their turnovers and forcing opponents to cough up the ball. Cincinnati junior guard Day Day Thomas leads the team with 1.9 steals per game and will be looking to pick some pockets on Saturday night. Bearcats Russian big man Viktor Lakhin continues to grow and improve, and his 14.7 points and 8.8 rebounds per game are both career-highs. While Dayton has been more effective offensively, the Bearcats have a great history against the Flyers – having won 15 of the last 18 meetings between the two teams. Look for them to get another win on Saturday.

Leg-2 Parlay Pick: Cincinnati ML (-200)
California vs. Ole Miss Prediction and Pick

With so many great games on the college basketball schedule for Saturday, some risk being overlooked. Unfortunately, this intriguing matchup between Cal and Ole Miss will likely be one of those. The 9-0 Rebels will put their unbeaten record on the line when they face the Golden Bears as part of the Naismith Hall of Fame Series in San Antonio, Texas. I’m not partial to either team in this one, because I truly see this as a coin-flip game. Either team could win because of how talented they both are offensively. Six players in these starting lineups average more than 15 points per game this season, even though neither team plays at a particularly fast pace. Ole Miss has two of those 15-point scorers in senior guard Allen Flanigan, who leads the way with 18 points per game, and fellow senior Matthew Murrell, who is averaging 15.6. Meanwhile, four of the five Cal starters are above that 15-point mark, which is why Ole Miss could be in for its first loss on Saturday night. Although going with California on the moneyline would give this parlay a nice payout, we’re going to play it safe and take the over here.

Leg-3 Parlay Pick: Over 138.5 (-110)
Alabama vs. Creighton Prediction and Pick

A year ago, this matchup between Alabama and Creighton would have been that much more interesting because guard Brandon Miller of the NBA’s Charlotte Hornets -- an absolute superstar in college -- was playing for the Crimson Tide. Alabama (6-3) certainly hasn’t become a bottom-feeder without its departed star. Indeed, the Crimson Tide remain a very experienced team, and senior Mark Sears is one of the top guards in the country. No. 8 Creighton (8-1) is also experienced, and the Bluejays can certainly score. Led by senior guard Baylor Scheierman, senior center Ryan Kalkbrenner, and junior guard Trey Alexander, Creighton has one of the top-scoring teams in the nation. Plenty of points can be expected in this game.  Alabama ranks fifth in the nation in 3-point percentage and sixth in effective field-goal percentage, while Creighton ranks second in both two-point field-goal percentage and effective field-goal percentage. While this game will likely turn into a track meet very quickly, the projected total is a smidge too high for my liking. Give me Creighton on the moneyline.

Leg-4 Parlay Pick: Creighton ML (-300)
