Bruce Brown, Kira Lewis and Jordan Nwora, the three players acquired in the Siakam trade, are all questionable until the trade is finalized, which doesn’t happen until players pass physicals. Center Jacob Poeltl is out with a foot injury and forward Otto Porter is out with a knee injury. For Chicago,  Ayo Dosunmu (shoulder contusion) and Patrick Williams (sprained ankle) are questionable, Andre Drummond (back spasms) is probable, and Torrey Craig (sprained shoulder) is out.

Memphis does not have its starting backcourt available as Ja Morant and Desmond Bane are out with injuries. Guards Derrick Rose and Marcus Smart also are sidelined. When you are down your four best backcourt players, you are in trouble when you are playing the No. 1 team in the West, which is why the Wolves are favored by 12.5. These teams have played twice already with Minnesota winning by 22 and 24, so your side bet with your buddies is whether Charles Barkley is taking a nap at halftime of the second game of the TNT doubleheader. Vince Williams, a 2nd-year player out of Virginia Commonwealth, has been manning the point and putting up numbers. His speed should be an asset against aging Wolves point guard Mike Conley. That is about the only positive we can see in this game for the Grizzlies, who are going to have to get scoring from someone.

Utah got an unexpected night off because of the death of Warriors assistant coach Dejan Milotevic at a team dinner on Tuesday night, forcing the postponement of Wednesday night’s game. So, they come into this game against OKC having not played a game since Monday. They carry a league-high six-game winning streak into this game, in which they are 2.5-point underdogs. We should expect TNT to cut into this game if the Raptors-Bulls game is a dud, but if recent history is any guide, this one should not be competitive. The last time these teams played, Utah lost to Oklahoma City 134-120 as the Jazz trailed by 14 at halftime and then were outscored 45-23 in the third quarter.
