The plan was to have two of the best centers in the NBA going up against each other on a national TV stage, with last year’s MVP, Joel Embiid, matching wits with triple-double machine Domantas Sabonis.

But the best-laid plans do not always happen. An inflamed left knee is going to keep Embiid on the sidelines tonight when Sacramento makes its annual visit to Philadelphia in a matchup of teams with nearly identical records. Philadelphia is 23-13 and Sacramento is 23-14.

Kings vs 76ers Predictions and Best Bets

The Sixers are favored by 1.5 points despite Embiid’s injury, despite the Kings coming off a 25-point victory over Charlotte and despite the Sixers having lost three in a row and four of five.

The focus for the ESPN broadcast crew will turn to the point guards, speedsters DeAaron Fox and Tyrese Maxey, the latter of whom is among the favorites for the NBA’s Most Improved Player Award. The Kings are making their third stop on a five-game road trip and will play at Milwaukee and at Phoenix to close what may be their toughest three-game stretch of the season. This will be a measuring stick game for Mike Brown’s team as they try to make it a perfect 5-0 trip, which almost nobody ever accomplishes.

What makes sense in a Same Game Parlay with Embiid out? Let’s have a look:

Best NBA Same Game Parlay Picks Today for Kings vs Sixers: 3-Leg Same-Game Parlay Picks (+4500)

Tobias Harris double-double

Harris is being leaned upon more than usual because he is a 16-year veteran who can log major minutes when needed. He played 41 minutes against the Hawks two nights ago when he tallied 32 points, 10 rebounds and took 24 shots, second only to Maxey’s 29. That was Harris’ third double-double of the season, and the fact that he and Maxey combined to take 53 of Philadelphia’s 102 shots leads us to believe that coach Nick Nurse will do similar tonight in an effort to snap the Sixers’ longest losing streak of the season.

Leg-1 SGP Pick: Tobias Harris to double-double (+310)

Tyrese Maxey 2+ steals

Maxey has had nine assists in each of the last three games while also attempting 26 total 3-pointers. In the last game against Atlanta he also had four steals as Philly’s Mr. Everything on both ends of the court. He had three steals the previous game against Utah and two steals the game before that against the Knicks. He will be looking to be at his best on national television against Fox, who like him is one of the most highly regarded young point guards in the NBA. These odds are more enticing than anything involving Maxey’s points or assists.

Leg-2 SGP Pick: Tyrese Maxey to have at least two steals (+235).

Keegan Murray 25+ points

The Kings have been featuring their second-year small forward this month. Murray’s scoring average in January climbed to 20.2 ppg from 17.2 in December and just 12.4 in November. He scored 25 against Charlotte and 32 against Detroit during the first two stops on this trip, and we like that trend to continue … especially with a +550 line against a Sixers team that does not have its top rim protector, Embiid.

Leg-3 SGP Pick: Keegan Murray to score 25 or more points (+550)

Putting those three wagers together produced a +4500 line on a Betway Same Game Parlay, meaning a $10 wager would return $460 and get your weekend off to a nice, profitable start. Good luck!
