The Phoenix Suns atoned for their upset loss in Game 1 with a statement win in Game 2 at home. They will now be in Los Angeles for the series’ next two games.

Things still looked a little shaky for Phoenix in the first half of Game 2, where the Suns fell behind by double digits for a second straight time. They got very little help from their bench, which allowed the Clippers to pull away from them early. Landry Shamet didn’t score any points, while Josh Okogie and Bismack Biyombo combined for a total of 13.

Although the Clippers once again led until the end of the second quarter, a fiery Suns group came out of the locker room for the second half with energy and a determination to regain control. They did so in a hurry, too, and once they pulled out in front, they never allowed the Clippers back into it.

Los Angeles’ Kawhi Leonard was excellent once again -- dropping 31 points to complement a strong night from Russell Westbrook, who scored 28. The Suns stars fought back, however, as Devin Booker led the way with a game-high 38 points and Durant had 25.

With Game 3 set for Thursday night at Los Angeles, it’s time for another NBA same-game parlay.

Suns vs Clippers Injury Report

As expected, Cameron Payne missed Game 2 for the Suns. His status will remain in question for Game 3 on the road. Paul George is the only player on the Clippers’ injury report, and as far as we know, he will remain out for the rest of the series.

Suns vs Clippers Prediction

The offensive depth of the Suns’ starting five proved too much for the Clippers in the series’ second game.

Phoenix’s Torrey Craig was superb in Game 2 -- shooting 5-for-8 from 3-point range and helping his team space out the floor as a result. Craig was also solid defensively, but his scoring from deep was certainly a factor in the win, especially since Durant was 0-for-4 from behind the arc.

Paul, Booker and Durant combined for 22 assists, proving that the Suns can move the ball around and rely on any of their starters to finish offensive possessions. The same cannot really be said for the Clippers. Apart from Kawhi and Russell Westbrook, Los Angeles has struggled to score. Eric Gordon hit four 3-pointers, but Ivica Zubac had just eight points in the paint, and Nicolas Batum didn’t score at all.

Norman Powell and Terance Mann provided a little energy off the bench, but consistent offense was a problem for the Clips when they called upon anyone but their two stars.

Kawhi played another great game, but this time it just wasn’t enough to beat the Suns. That’s concerning when he had the support of 28 points from Westbrook, which won’t be there for him every night.

The Clippers were a better road team than the Suns during the regular season. Phoenix finished the year with a 17-24 record outside of their own arena. If the Clippers are going to capitalize on their home-court advantage, they will need somebody to step up and offer a game-changing contribution. If they don’t get that, Paul George’s absence could prove fatal.

Best NBA Same-Game Parlay Picks Today for Suns vs. Clippers - NBA Playoffs Game 3: 4-Leg Parlay Picks (+2000)

Eric Gordon 3-Pointers Made

We’re kicking off these NBA same-game parlay predictions with a little Eric Gordon action.

The Suns have struggled with their defensive rotations when it comes to guarding the perimeter. Gordon found himself with open looks in each of the first two games and has made a total of seven threes in the series.

Gordon might not have a huge scoring night against the Suns, but his role in stretching the floor and offering a high-percentage 3-point shooting option has been one of the Clippers’ better assets outside of Kawhi Leonard and Russell Westbrook.

With the Suns paying so much attention to Kawhi and seemingly taking their chances with the perimeter guys, I’ll start these NBA same-game parlay picks with Gordon for 3+ threes.

Leg-1 SGP Pick: Eric Gordon 3+ Three Pointers Made (+115)

Kawhi Leonard Points Total

The Clippers’ showing on the road and their crucial win in Game 1 resulted from a stellar performance by Kawhi Leonard, who was backed up by the depth around him. If Kawhi has a low-scoring night, the Clippers can’t win any game in this series. It’s that simple.

With Paul George out for the remainder of the series and Russell Westbrook the only other roster player who could potentially score more than 20 points, the Clippers need Kawhi to carry the torch.

So far, he’s proved himself capable of doing that, and we know from his time in Toronto that he can be the best player on the court, even when the lights are shining the brightest. Playing on his home court, Kawhi should have his third night with 30 or more points, and I’ll be backing him to do so once again.

Leg-2 SGP Pick: Kawhi Leonard 30+ Points Scored (-105)

Torrey Craig Points Total

I must tip my hat to Torrey Craig for his play so far in this series. He’s stepped up and made a real difference for the Suns. His performance from behind the arc in Game 2 was instrumental. Craig shot 5-for-8 from 3-point range in the Suns’ win to tie the series at 1-1, and he’s been a great overall shooter through the first two games.

The Suns forward has a 71 percent field-goal percentage and is at 58 percent from 3-point range. He gets some good looks when the defense is busy occupying Booker and Durant, and he’s making the most of those opportunities.

With his line for 12+ points set at +215 and his scoring average in the series so far at 19.5 points per game, I just have to take the value.

Leg-3 SGP Pick: Torrey Craig 12+ Points (+215)

Moneyline

The Phoenix Suns worked it out in the second half of Game 2, taking control of the game and leveling the series as a result. That said, they have yet to exhibit four quarters of dominance that would offer reason to believe this series will be over by the end of Game 5.

Granted, the Clippers need their secondary shooting options to step up. The Suns have valuable scoring options behind Durant and Devin Booker, even if the bench is performing poorly. The Clippers depended too heavily on Russ and Kawhi in Game 2. That cost them in the second half despite their two stars' best efforts.

I’d like to see more from Terance Mann and Norman Powell, in particular. If one of those guys gets hot off the bench, I can see the Clippers taking a lead at home to set up a very interesting Game 4.

Leg-4 SGP Pick: L.A. Clippers Moneyline (+120)
