The Chicago Bulls mustered a 109-105 comeback victory over the Toronto Raptors in the NBA Play-In Tournament on Wednesday despite being a six-point underdog heading into the game. They will now face the Miami Heat for the right to claim the Eastern Conference’s final playoff spot and go up against the top-seeded Milwaukee Bucks in opening round.

The Heat lost to the Atlanta Hawks at home on Tuesday, missing an opportunity to enter the playoffs as a No. 7 seed. They’ll now get another shot at the postseason, only this time against Chicago for a lower seed. Let’s dive into some NBA picks and parlays for this game.

Bulls vs Heat Odds, Spread, Moneyline, Over/Under – NBA Play-In Betting Lines 4/14

Moneyline: Bulls (+175), Heat (-211)
Spread: Bulls +5.5 (-115) , Heat -5.5 (-106)
Total: Over/Under 209.5 points

Bulls vs Heat Injury Report

The only injury affecting either team involves Miami’s Gabe Vincent, who might not be able to play. The Heat guard left Tuesday’s game against the Hawks midway through the first quarter with an undisclosed injury and did not return. Vincent is now listed as day-to-day on the official NBA injury report, so the Heat could find themselves one man down in the backcourt.

Bulls vs Heat Prediction

Miami’s performance against Atlanta was beyond disappointing. They Heat had seemed to turn things around over the final NBA regular-season games and appeared to have a little momentum when the Play-In Tournament began.

Miami just never got going -- falling way behind in a hurry. The Heat spent the rest of the game trying to chase the Hawks just to make a dent in the points deficit.

Kyle Lowry’s presence rescued Miami from what could have been a much uglier score, and perhaps his experience will help the Heat against Chicago. The former Raptors star scored 33 points and shot 6-for-9 from 3-point range. The Heat’s Jimmy Butler added 21 points, and Tyler Herro managed to score 26.

There’s just no clear game plan, and Miami’s defensive rotations are a complete mess. The Hawks found themselves wide open far too often and were allowed 41 attempts from 3-point range. Had they shot better than 24 percent from deep, they could have scored at least 130 points.

Now the Heat must deal with a surging Chicago Bulls team. Led by Zach LaVine’s 39-point night on Wednesday, the Bulls came from behind to take down the Raptors and advance to this all-or-nothing game.

LaVine’s dominance driving on the Raptors was the main factor in Chicago’s victory. DeMar DeRozan added 23 points, and Nikola Vucevic had 14 more for the Bulls.

The Bulls are no pushovers, and the 5.5-point moneyline going into this game at Miami feels uneven based on the two games we’ve just seen. Chicago might not have played well for four quarters, but it found a way to win and has a star on the roster who can score 40 points if necessary.

Best NBA Same Game Parlay Picks Today for Bulls vs Heat - NBA Play-In: 4-Leg Parlay Picks (+1290)

Zach LaVine Points Total

Zach LaVine can be a really frustrating player on whom to wager. He’s a streaky scorer whose nightly points average can range anywhere from the low teens to the 40s, and it's tough to predict when he might take over a game.

That said, if there's a time for LaVine to put the Bulls on his back and fire them into a playoff series, it's right now. Against Toronto, he proved he was willing to be the aggressor and drive into the paint to force good rim-protection defense or a foul. The Bulls guard took 15 free throws and made 13 of them to add to his 12-for-22 shooting night and 2-for-7 performance from 3-point range.

With the season on the line, and Miami unable to get its defensive house in order, I’m more than happy to back LaVine to clear 30 points, and you could even bump it to 35 if you want a little extra spice in your NBA same-game parlay at +400 odds.

Leg-1 SGP Pick: Zach Lavine 30+ Points (+150)

Nikola Vucevic Rebounds Total

Bulls big man Nikola Vucevic has managed 10 or more rebounds in five of his last six games, including 13 in the Play-In Tournament win over Toronto. The Bulls only grabbed 36 rebounds, compared to the Raptors’ 50, and Vuc managed more than a third of those boards for Chicago.

The Heat might not be the easiest team to rack up rebounds against -- allowing 41.8 on average throughout the regular season -- but Vucevic’s rebounding percentage on the Bulls roster means his 10.5+ is still a favorable option.

Leg-2 SGP Pick: Nikola Vucevic 10.5+ Rebounds (-120)

Tyler Herro 3-Pointers Made

Only one team in the NBA this season has allowed more 3-point attempts per game than the Chicago Bulls, and that’s the lowly Houston Rockets. In fact, over the last five games of the regular season, the Bulls were No. 1 in that category, allowing 41 attempts per game from 3-point range, and opponents shot 36 percent from deep against Chicago.

Tyler Herro is a high-volume 3-point shooter. He had a per-game average of 3.2 threes in the month of March on 7.9 attempts and took nine such shots against the Hawks earlier this week.

With Chicago offering so many looks from deep, and Herro never shy to take them, I’m confident he should be making at least three this time around.

Leg-3 SGP Pick: Tyler Herro Over 2.5 Three Pointers Made (-160)

Spread Bet

The final leg of the Bulls @ Heat NBA same-game parlay picks today is aimed at the spread. It might just be a gut feeling, but giving the Miami Heat another 5.5-point advantage after the way they played the other night is blasphemous.

The Bulls just displayed the momentum to drive themselves back into their game against Toronto and come away with a win, while the Heat limped to an 11-point loss despite being favored to beat Atlanta.

I’m willing to be proven wrong, but unless the Heat can solve their poor chemistry and communication on the court -- which often rears its ugly head at both ends of the floor -- the Bulls might walk away with this one too.

Leg-4 SGP Pick: Chicago Bulls +5.5 (-115)
