Kyrie Irving
The game lines and player prop lines are suggesting that Kyrie Irving will play tonight against the Phoenix Suns after sitting out with calf soreness.
Without Kevin Durant, this Nets offense has been abysmal as they rank dead last in points per game over the past three. With no one to turn to, expect Irving to get them right with a big performance on the road on primetime television.
The Pick: Kyrie Irving over 39.5 points, assists and rebounds (-120)
Damian LillardDamian Lillard has been balling this season. In the past four games, he’s averaged 42.5 points. While it’s been Dame time almost every night for him and the Blazers, he’ll now draw a 76ers team that specializes in shutting down opposing point guards. Philadelphia allows the fewest points to opposing point guards in the whole of the NBA.
This sounds crazy going against Dame Dolla and Dame Time, especially in front of his home crowd, but I’m trusting the 76ers defense to force the ball out of Lillard’s hands and make his teammates try to beat Philadelphia on Thursday.
The Pick: Damian Lillard under 31.5 points (-110)
Joel Embiid Joel Embiid is still looking for his first MVP as well as his first NBA Championship. As his 76ers sit in third place, and as he continues to fill up statsheets, this year certainly feels like the year for both of those to be fulfilled.
He’ll now draw a Blazers team that struggles to defend post players as they rank 22nd in points allowed in the paint and 23rd in rebounding. Embiid will have a big performance on the road Thursday in Portland and will continue to make a case for MVP.
