Best NHL Bets Tonight: Odds, Picks and Predictions for Tuesday, April 11th

Blue Jackets vs Flyers Odds, Spread, Moneyline, Over/Under - NHL Betting Lines 4/11
Moneyline: Columbus Blue Jackets (+140), Philadelphia Flyers (-167)
Spread: Columbus Blue Jackets +1.5 (-167), Philadelphia Flyers -1.5 (+130)
Total: Over/Under 6.5 goals
Blue Jackets vs Flyers Prediction and Pick
Both Columbus and Philadelphia have missed the playoffs, so their matchup on Tuesday night is a game to set the tone for next season. The Flyers will look to deliver a win for fans at Wells Fargo Center in their final home game of the season. They will try to do it against the Blue Jackets, who are truly one of the worst teams in hockey. Columbus ranks 31st defensively and 30th offensively among the NHL’s 32 teams. The Jackets pose no threat. They have gone 1–6-1 over their last eight games, managing only a 4-3 OT home victory over the Ottawa Senators. The Flyers are not that much better, but they are, indeed, better. Carter Hart will tend goal for the Flyers tonight in his team’s bid to exit Wells Fargo Center on a positive note.

The Pick: Philadelphia Flyers win/draw/win (-112)

Sabres vs Devils Odds, Spread, Moneyline, Over/Under - NHL Betting Lines 4/11
Moneyline: Buffalo Sabres (+110), New Jersey Devils (-134)
Spread: Calgary Flames -1.5 (-225), New Jersey Devils +1.5 (+175)
Total: Over/Under 6.5 goals
Sabres vs Devils Prediction and Pick
The Carolina Hurricanes’ recent three-game losing streak has opened the Metropolitan Division door for New Jersey, and the Devils are now just one point out of first place. Meanwhile, Buffalo’s playoff hopes are hanging by a thread. The Sabres are four points out of the last wild-card spot with three games remaining. All three are must-wins. Buffalo brings its top-5 offense to the Prudential Center on Tuesday night, having won four of their last five games. The teams split two matchups earlier this season, and while the Sabres offense has been hot, they’ll have to turn it up another notch against Devils goaltender Vitek Vanecek, who’s allowed just one goal in three of his last four starts. With playoff hockey on the horizon, the Devils are already in postseason form. They can smell first place now, especially with the Hurricanes playing the second game of a back-to-back set on Tuesday. The Devils will win and put the Sabres’ postseason dreams to bed.

The Pick: New Jersey Devils win/draw/win (-134)

Oilers vs Avalanche Odds, Spread, Moneyline, Over/Under - NHL Betting Lines 4/11
Moneyline: Edmonton Oilers (-118) Colorado Avalanche (-106)
Spread: Edmonton Oilers -1.5 (+190), Colorado Avalanche +1.5 (-250)
Total: Over/Under 6.5 goals
Oilers vs Avalanche Prediction and Pick
ESPN has a treat in store for viewers when these teams -- each fighting for first place in its respective division -- take the ice on Tuesday night. The fact that both need a win adds that much more fuel to this showdown’s fire. The Avalanche won the teams’ two earlier meetings this season, but Colorado needed overtime to take both games. If you like watching great, competitive hockey, then this is your game. It will come down to the wire again.

Both teams are red hot right now. Colorado has won five straight, and Edmonton arrives in Denver on a seven-game winning streak. While the Oilers and Avs are playing some of the NHL’s best hockey, Colorado’s Nathan MacKinnon continues to prove he can take control by himself with an ability to score multiple times at any stage of the game. The defending champions will get it done at home.

The Pick: Colorado Avalanche ML (-106)
