With it being win or go home for each remaining 14 teams going forward, not only do the games get more intense but every single play does. Let’s head over to Orchard Park, New York where we’ll look at the Pittsburgh Steelers vs. the Buffalo Bills. 

Steelers at Bills Preview

The Pittsburgh Steelers and the Buffalo Bills will meet for first time since 2022 in week five where the Bills won 38-3. That game wasn’t even close as the Steelers offense struggled to get anything going while the Bills offense and defense both looked like well-oiled machines. The weather will be much different than that week five game as there is a winter storm watch for Sunday as well as potential wind gusts up to 45 mph. If you love bad weather games, this one is for you.

Steelers vs Bills Predictions and Picks

The last time these two teams met it looked as if the Bills were in a league of their own compared to Pittsburgh. While both teams are fairly different than they were in week five of last season, they both still share a lot of similarities. The Steelers offense ranks 28th in points per game and 25th in the NFL in total yards per game. They did make a switch to quarterback Mason Rudolph and the offense has improved, but don’t get fooled by it. This Steelers offense is as flat as soda from Thanksgiving without the cap on it. Whether it’s Mason Rudolph, Kenny Pickett or Mitch Trubisky starting at quarterback on Sunday for the Steelers, it just simply doesn’t matter. None of those three quarterbacks can or will be able to get the job done against the Bills . Steelers all-pro linebacker T.J. Watt was ruled out, so that’s a huge blow to their defense. Factor that in with how dominant the Buffalo Bills have looked, Pittsburgh just stands no chance. The only thing that may help Pittsburgh in this game is the weather as that will be the Bills biggest test. Buffalo wins this game easily.

The Pick: Buffalo Bills -9.5 (-110)

If this game was being played under different weather conditions, along with Watt being out of the lineup, then I could see the Bills flirting with this total by themselves. Given the severe weather and conditions at Orchard Park on Sunday, I just don’t see much scoring at all. The Steelers offense is still a major concern for me as it’s not good at all and none of the three quarterbacks on their roster are NFL starting quarterbacks. I have been impressed with the Steelers run game, but the Bills do a good job at defending the run. If Buffalo opens this game up to a 14 point plus lead in the second half, the Pittsburgh offense will have to shift more towards the passing game.  . Give me the under.

With the weather conditions scheduled to look how the reports are saying and with the Steelers being down T.J. James Cook The playoffs are where stars are born and that’s exactly what I’m expecting to see on Sunday from the Bills running back. In a game where both teams will need to find success through the run game, given the weather, I expect to see the Bills give Cook a lot of opportunities which could result in a huge game for the young running back. A 100-plus yard day is my expectation but we can play it safe and go with 90 plus rushing yards.

Najee Harris Steelers running back Najee Harris has finally started living up to the expectations that every Steeler fan and everyone in their organization expected out of him when they drafted him three seasons ago. With 25 plus carries over the past two weeks and the weather scheduled to be a high wind and snowy afternoon in Orchard Park, New York, I expect to see the Steelers lean on the run a lot as well.

Leg-2 SGP Pick: Najee Harris 45+ Rushing Yards (-340)

First Half The Buffalo Bills should control this game from start to finish and that’s why I went with the full spread of 10.5 points in favor of the Buffalo Bills to start this breakdown off. But for our same game parlay we’re going to mix it up here and take the Buffalo Bills first half -2.5 here as I see the Bills being up by at least three or more points no matter what happens in the first half on Sunday.
