Buccaneers vs Saints Predictions & Pick

If you can only find time (for some reason) to only watch one game this week, then I highly suggest that you make it this one. With so much offensive talent on both sides of the football, I’m shocked that this total is at 44.5.

I know some will argue these are two good defenses and both will show that throughout the season. But my two eyes just saw an up-and-coming Atlanta Falcons team have their way with the Saints' defense in Week 1, and Tom Brady isn’t Marcus Mariota, Leonard Fournette isn’t Cordarrelle Patterson, and Mike Evans and Julio Jones aren’t Drake London and Olamide Zaccheaus. With all due respect to the Falcons, those guys aren’t close to what the Saints will be facing in Week 2, and they will not be ready for it.

On the other side of the football, quarterback Jameis Winston’s back injury does concern me, but he should be good to go and is heavily motivated to face his old team yet again. Even if things change and he can’t play or reinjures his back during the game, I’m still okay with backup Andy Dalton running the show. The Buccaneers' defense, especially their secondary, will have a long day ahead of them as wide receiver Michael Thomas appears back to his old self and Jarvis Landry looks like he hasn’t lost a step. The Saints' three-headed rushing attack with Alvin Kamara, Taysom Hill and Mark Ingram will cause headaches for the Tampa Bay defense as well. I love the over in this one.

The Pick: Over 44.5

Colt vs Jaguars Odds, Spread, Over/Under - NFL Betting Lines Week 2

Moneyline: Indianapolis Colt -175, Jacksonville Jaguars +150

Spread: Colt -3 -115, Jaguars +3 -105

Total: Over/Under 45.5

Colts vs Jaguars Predictions & Pick

Yes, the Colts' options at wide receiver are limited as it’s really just wide receiver Michael Pittman and running back Nyheim Hines for quarterback Matt Ryan to throw to. But this Jaguars defense and the team as a whole just isn’t going to be too competitive again this season.

The Colts did tie with Houston Texans last Sunday, but while they were pretty bad last year, they’re significantly better than the Jacksonville Jaguars. Texans quarterback Davis Mills has a lot of potential, Brandin Cooks is a stud, and Rex Burkhead will always find a way to get it done. Matt Ryan, Michael Pittman, and Jonathan Taylor will all have big days as the Colts cruise to an easy bounce-back victory in this one.

The Pick: Indianapolis Colts ML

Seahawks vs 49ers Odds, Spread, Over/Under - NFL Betting Lines Week 2

Moneyline: Seattle Seahawks +340, San Francisco 49ers -425

Spread: Seahawks +9.5 -110, 49ers -9.5 -110

Total: Over/Under 40.5

Seahawks vs 49ers Predictions & Pick

This one might be risky, but I’m not sold on any part of this 49ers team at all.

Quarterback Trey Lance can’t throw the football and will not be a starting quarterback in the NFL for much longer, hence why the 49ers restructured Jimmy Garoppolo’s deal to keep him in the backup spot.

I’m still sipping the special edition revenge Kool-Aid from Monday night, when the Seahawks earned a statement win against their former quarterback, Russell Wilson, as they squeaked out a 17-16 victory over the Denver Broncos. I’m liking what Pete Caroll is rebuilding in Seattle, and veteran quarterback Geno Smith managed the game well, doing what he had to do to win.

Seattle’s defense is what impressed me the most. Although they allowed Wilson to throw for 340 yards, they still did a fantastic job in the red zone and forced both Melvin Gordon and Javonte Williams to fumble. The good news for Seattle is that they won’t be facing a quarterback like Wilson on Sunday, and won't have to deal with any weapons like Gordon, Williams, Jerry Jeudy, and Courtland Sutton.

The Pick: Seattle Seahawks ML

Falcons vs Rams Odds, Spread, Over/Under - NFL Betting Lines Week 2

Moneyline: Atlanta Falcons +370, LA Rams -460

Spread: Falcons +10 -110, Rams -10 -110

Total: Over/Under 46.5

Falcons vs Rams Predictions & Pick

I know I said the Falcons were up-and-coming in my previous bet, but I think they might have come of age last Sunday against the Saints. Quarterback Marcus Mariota showed why he still deserves to be a starter in the NFL, former wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson showed that he is an NFL running back, and a pretty darn good one, too. Rookie wide receiver Drake London showed promise with five catches for 74 yards as well.

After allowing 31 points on opening night and not forcing the Buffalo Bills to punt once, this Rams defense will be quite the test for the Falcons this Sunday. But it’s a test that I think they’ll pass. As for the Rams' side of the football, their offense wasn’t able to get anything going in Week 1 as they were held to just 10 points. Wide receiver Cooper Kupp had his way with 13 catches and 128 yards and a touchdown, but other than that the Rams were a tough watch on opening night. The offensive woes will change this Sunday against a Falcons defense that completely folded in the fourth quarter last Sunday.

The Pick: Over 46.5
