Best College Football Parlays - Week 3, 4 Leg Parlay Picks (+1348)

Louisville vs. Indiana Prediction and Pick

Quarterback Jack Plummer’s arrival via the transfer portal was a game-changer for the Louisville Cardinals, who are off to a 2-0 start this season. While Plummer hasn’t played up to his standards just yet with three interceptions and four touchdowns through the first two games, he’ll have a good chance to show his true worth against an elite Indiana defense on Saturday. In IU’s season-opener, the Hoosiers’ defense shut down an Ohio State passing attack featuring star wide receivers Marvin Harrison Jr. and Emeka Egbuka. Even though Buckeyes quarterback Kyle McCord was still trying to find his stride in that game, Indiana’s ability to hold Ohio State to just 23 points put the college football world on notice that this Hoosiers defense is for real. While Plummer is the focal point of Louisville’s offense, running back Jawhar Jordan will likely get more carries in this game after averaging 16.5 yards per carry through his first two games.

Indiana runs a two-quarterback system with Tayven Jackson and Brendan Sorsby. While that might make it hard for defenses to prepare for the Hoosiers, it also makes it hard for Indiana’s offense to get into a groove, since the quarterbacks have different styles. This Louisville team has yet to scratch the surface of its potential and knowing that Indiana shut down what is expected to be a great passing attack from Ohio State only gives Plummer more incentive to get his offense going. Give me Louisville to win outright.

Leg 1 Parlay Pick: Louisville ML (-400)

Miami-Ohio vs. Cincinnati Prediction and Pick

The battle for the Victory Bell will be staged once again on Saturday night, but this prize could easily be renamed the Cincinnati Bell, since the Bearcats have won it 16 consecutive times. This matchup, however, will be different because Miami RedHawks quarterback Brett Gabbert, a five-year starter, will be able to play, thanks to the extra year of eligibility that resulted from the COVID-19 pandemic. This will be only the second time that Gabbert has played against the Bearcats, who have experienced a lot of turnover on both offense and defense. Cincinnati’s entire 2023 team was essentially formed through the transfer portal, but experts quickly began jumping on the Cincinnati train after the Bearcats beat Pittsburgh.

Don’t expect them to get past Miami, though. In beating the Panthers, Cincinnati jumped out to a commanding 27-7 lead before allowing their opponent to climb right back into the game. Even though they won, the Bearcats displayed some of the problems that can result when many new players are thrown into a new system. This Miami RedHawks team is experienced and has a very underrated quarterback leading the way. Yes, the RedHawks were shown who the real Miami team was when they were routed by the Hurricanes in their opener at Florida, but look for Miami to show Cincinnati who the real Ohio team is on Saturday night.

Leg 2 Parlay Pick: Miami Ohio ML (+500)

Tennessee vs. Florida Prediction and Pick

I don’t understand all the hype surrounding this Florida Gators team. Transfer quarterback Graham Mertz has been OK, but Florida failed to beat a Utah team that was without starting quarterback Cam Rising in Week 1 and then beat a McNeese State team whose school location I had look up on Google. The Gators, who lost their top five tacklers on defense after ranking only 119th in the nation defensively last year, now must face a Tennessee offense built by its head coach to be college football’s fastest-paced offense at 19.1 seconds per play.

Tennessee has one of college football’s best quarterbacks in Joe Milton III, and he might have the strongest arm in college football, too. Tennessee is averaging 6.1 yards per carry between running backs Jabari Small and Jaylen Wright, who combined for over 1,667 rushing yards and 19 touchdowns last season. Florida will have no answer for a fast-paced Tennessee offense that will literally run the Gators off the field. Not even a swamp can slow this Vols offense down, so give me Tennessee to win outright.

Leg 3 Parlay Pick: Tennessee ML (-240)
TCU vs. Houston Prediction and Pick

TCU ran into a powerhouse against Colorado in Week 1, and the Buffs’ spoiled the Horned Frogs’ hopes of a perfect season by winning 45-42. This was seen as an upset, but as the weeks continue to pass, we’ll realize that it was a legitimate loss. While many people believe Colorado will fizzle out, I expect the Buffaloes to have a top-10 finish this season.

TCU bounced back against an inferior Nicholls State team in Week 2, which was still a confidence booster for the Horned Frogs. They will see another inferior opponent when the face Houston on Saturday night. Transfer quarterback Donovan Smith leads the way for Houston, but that’s not saying much given his lack of talent. The Cougars’ defense ranked 92nd in the nation last season and is off to a really poor start this year after allowing 417 total yards in Week 1 and 470 total yards in Week 2.

In Week 1, the TCU offense showed that it is both fast and good. The Horned Frogs average 489.5 total yards per game and are thriving with two transfer-portal additions in running back Trey Sanders and wide receiver JoJo Earle, who have been key players for TCU. The Horned Frogs lost former quarterback Max Duggan to the NFL, but sophomore QB Chandler Morris was actually expected to be the starter last year before he got injured. Don’t read into any hype about TCU having been upset in Week 1 or about this being a lost season for the Horned Frogs. TCU had the misfortune of facing a truly great team in its opener, but the Horned Frogs will be just fine. Give me TCU to win outright on Saturday.

Leg 4 Parlay Pick: TCU ML (-275)
