Best College Football Bets Week 12: Picks, Predictions & Schedules

College Football Schedule Week 12 – Oklahoma State @ Oklahoma

College Football Season 2022 Game
Oklahoma State Cowboys (7-3, 1-3 Away) vs Oklahoma Sooners (5-5, 3-2 Home)
Date: 19th November 2022
Time: 7:30p.m. EST
Venue: Gaylord Family OU Memorial Stadium - Norman, Oklahoma
TV Channel: ABC
Live Stream: FuboTV
Live Radio: 107.7 The Franchise

It’s been a disappointing season for the Oklahoma Sooners this year, stumbling to a 5-5 record following back-to-back defeats to both Baylor and West Virginia.

Quarterback Dillon Gabriel struggled through the air against Baylor, throwing three interceptions, and the offense has relied heavily on the run game at times. The Sooners will be looking to gain some momentum for next season with a win over their state rival Cowboys.

Oklahoma State has run out of steam in the last few weeks. They’d been a scoring powerhouse for the early part of the season, but have regressed to scoring just 12 points per game on average in their last three outings. A large portion of that is of course due to starting quarterback Spencer Sanders nursing a shoulder injury for several weeks that meant he didn’t start against Iowa State last weekend. He did however come into the game and throw a very important touchdown when he was called upon.

Oklahoma State vs Oklahoma Odds, Spread, Over/Under, Moneyline - College Football Odds Week 12

Moneyline: Oklahoma State Cowboys +225, Oklahoma Sooners -265

Spread: Oklahoma State +7.5, Oklahoma -7.5

Total: Over/Under 64.5 points

Oklahoma State vs Oklahoma Predictions and Picks

This is a tough call with the uncertainty around Spencer Sanders' health going into the game. He hadn’t practiced or warmed up prior to the Iowa State game, but came in to spark the struggling offense into life, throwing 13 passes, one of which resulted in a touchdown.

After the game, Sanders did proclaim that he would be playing in the rivalry game against Oklahoma Sooners, and while that isn’t confirmed, head coach Mike Gundy did back his quarterback's statement. With that in mind, I’d like to see Oklahoma State pick up some momentum on offense, and if they can do that they should cover on the road. I’ll take Oklahoma State and the points, and expect the line to move a little if Sanders is confirmed as playing.

The Pick: Oklahoma State +7.5 (-110)

Neither of these teams have been playing consistent offense in recent weeks. Oklahoma State are 0-3 hitting the over in their last three outings, pointing to the big swing in their offensive output compared to earlier in the season.

Oklahoma are 1-2, with the loss against Baylor being the only game in the last six between these two teams resulting in the over. So I'll take the under on the day, and expect to see struggles from both sides offensively at points in the game.

The Pick: Oklahoma State vs Oklahoma Under +64.5 Points (-110)

College Football Schedule Week 12 – USC @ UCLA

College Football Season 2022 Game
USC Trojans (9-1, 3-1 Away) vs. UCLA Bruins (8-2, 6-1 Home)
Date: 19th November 2022
Time: 8:00:p.m. EST
Venue: Rose Bowl Stadium - Pasadena, California
TV Channel: FOX
Live Stream: Fubo TV
Live Radio: 790 KABC

The 9-1 USC Trojans have a very important run of games coming up in the next two weekends. They head to Pasadena to face the UCLA Bruins this weekend, followed by a visit from Notre Dame the following week. If USC can win both games against ranked opponents and anything changes at the top of the AP poll, they have an outside shot at making the College Football Playoff.

UCLA will likely be the Trojans biggest test of the year so far. Offensively they’ve been largely unstoppable with the dual threat of quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson and star running back Zach Charbonnet. The UCLA Bruins are ranked 11th in the country in points per game, averaging 39.5, and will be able to compete in scoring with USC, who rank third.

USC vs UCLA Odds, Spread, Over/Under, Moneyline - CFB Odds Week 12

Moneyline: USC Trojans -125, UCLA Bruins +105

Spread: USC -2.5, UCLA +2.5

Total: Over/Under 75.5 points

USC vs UCLA Predictions and Picks

There’s a lot of pressure on USC to go on the road and win this game. They’re the PAC 12's best shot at a playoff berth, and while they’re outsiders, two wins against ranked opponents will give them a serious case, especially if TCU happens to lose.

While I think it’s a high-pressure environment for USC, I do really like their momentum. They’ve scored 40+ points in each of their last four games, and I think Caleb Williams and co come out on top in this one.

The Pick: USC Moneyline (-125)

USC’s impressive point scoring has resulted in them contributing to overs in four straight games, while UCLA are 2-2. With USC’s firepower on offense, I’m expecting a similar total to that conceded by the Bruins against Oregon, when they gave up 45.

So, USC should score 40+, but my concern is whether UCLA is able to keep up, having had a couple of lower totals in recent weeks. The Bruins scored 28 in their loss to Arizona, which is a red flag for me, and 30 against Oregon.

While I think it could be close, I’m going to go for the under and anticipate USC running a little clock towards the end of the game if they have a multiple possession lead.

The Pick: USC vs UCLA Under 75.5 Points (-110)

College Football Schedule Week 12 – Utah @ Oregon

College Football Season 2022 Game
Utah Utes (8-2, 2-2 Away) vs. Oregon Ducks (8-2, 4-1 Home)
Date: 19th November 2022
Time: 10:30p.m. EST
Venue: Autzen Stadium - Eugene, Oregon
TV Channel: ESPN
Live Stream: Fubo TV
Live Radio: KUJZ-FM (95.3), Sirius (133), XM (197)

The Utah Utes will enter this one with confidence, despite being on the road. Utah beat the Ducks twice last year, including a 38-10 runaway in the PAC 12 championship game. The Utes have won four straight since their loss to UCLA, and have made light work of their last two opponents.

The Oregon Ducks will be devastated with last week's loss to the Washington Huskies, failing to contain Michael Penix Jr, who threw for over 400 passing yards. That said, Bo Nix and the offense were excellent once again. Nix did a great job both passing and running the ball, and Oregon had not one but two running backs with over 100 rushing yards on the day.

Utah vs Oregon Odds, Spread, Over/Under, Moneyline - College Football Odds Week 12

Moneyline: Utah Utes +120, Oregon Ducks -140

Spread: Utah Utes +3.5, Oregon Ducks -3.5

Total: Over/Under 61.5 points

Utah vs Oregon Predictions and Picks

While this is a really tough call, and I like Oregon to bounce back, I have to go with Utah. Having watched that defensive performance from the Ducks last weekend, I fear for their ability to contain Utah’s offense. They’re 12th in scoring, and the difference is their defensive ability to not only get stops, but take the ball away.

The Utes have forced 19 turnovers helping them rank 10th in turnover differential this season. While I love both offenses, this is me backing the Utes defense over Oregon’s. Should be a close game, and a fun one to watch!

The Pick: Utah +3.5 (-110)

Both teams have struggled to cover the over in recent weeks. Utah is on a three-week streak of unders, while Oregon have failed to cover in their last two as well. All signs point towards the under, but I actually think the bar has been set pretty low in light of those recent results, and I’m keen to take advantage.

Utah’s defense could be the thorn in my side here, but Oregon plus Utah’s offense combining for 62 points is a risk I’m willing to take. It’s the Cameron Rising x Bo Nix show, and I’ve got my ticket.

The Pick: Utah vs Oregon Over 61.5 Points (-110)
