Did Santa Claus bring you a parlay win on Christmas Day? Between everything that was happening in the NFL and the NBA, there were certainly plenty of longshot opportunities. Losses by the Kansas City Chiefs, Los Angeles Lakers, Milwaukee Bucks and San Francisco 49ers certainly made some very unlikely wagers hit.

Those who parlayed the improbable did well.

The thing with online sports gambling is that you sometimes have to prepare for the likelihood of the unlikely happening. The Knicks, for example, had four players score at least 20 points as they ended their own nine-game losing streak against Milwaukee and ended the Bucks’ seven-game winning streak.

The Chiefs allowed two defensive touchdowns by the Las Vegas Raiders and lost at home to drop to 9-6, which has us wondering whether Taylor Swift is now a bad luck charm for Travis Kelce, Patrick Mahomes and the rest of the Chiefs, whose chances of finishing No. 1 in the AFC East are now zilch.

The Lakers took another loss, too, to drop to 16-15, and the Phoenix Suns could not prevent Luka Dončić from scoring 50 as they dropped to 14-15. We have five NBA teams at .500 or within a game of .500, and three of them were expected to be powerhouses. Did someone say “I can see a whole bunch of trades coming?”

The answer to that is probably “yes,” and what happens over the course of the rest of this week will likely impact who goes where prior to the NBA trade deadline in six weeks.

But not every team is a Jekyll and Hyde team, and that is the stability category where we are looking for tonight’s 4-leg parlay as nine NBA games are played. So let’s have at it …

Best NBA Parlays Today – Tuesday, December 26, 2023: 4-Leg Parlay Picks (+1173)

Leg-1 Parlay Pick: Bulls – 1.5 vs. Hawks (-110)

Say what you want about the horror shows in Detroit in Washington, but in the sports gambling world there is a bigger loser than the Pistons, who have dropped 26 in a row and will try to break that streak tonight at Brooklyn. The Atlanta Hawks are an NBA-worst 7-22-0 against the spread, a conversion rate of only 24.1 percent and includes an 0-8-0 record as a home favorite. They will be playing at Chicago’s United Center tonight as trade winds swirl around the Bulls, who have defeated the Heat, Lakers, Sixers and Spurs in winning four of their last six. Both coaches will have short rotations, and we like Chicago to finish strongly in the fourth quarter as Memphis did against Atlanta three nights ago.

The Pick: Chicago Bulls -1.5 vs Atlanta Hawks (-110)

Leg-2 Parlay Pick: Pacers vs Rockets over 236.5 (-115)

Like the Lakers, the Pacers have been trending downward ever since they made the final of the NBA Cup, losing six of their last seven. Still, they remain a very high-scoring team with an average of 126.5 points per game, by far the highest in the league. The Rockets, meanwhile, are one of several overachieving teams in the West. They begin the post-Christmas portion of the schedule in eighth place in the West, with center Alperin Şengün, a top Most Improved Player pick, sitting right behind Philadelphia’s Tyrese Maxey. Indiana has gone under by a combined 46.5 points its last two games, and this is the Pacers’ lowest over/under since Nov. 19. An overcorrection? We think so.

The Pick: Indiana Pacers vs. Houston Rockets over 236.5 points (-115).

Leg-3 Parlay Pick: Timberwolves + 3.5 at Thunder (-110)

Only five NBA teams have fewer than 10 losses, and these are two of them. This will be the second meeting of the season between two of the top three teams in the West, and the Timberwolves come in having won 11 of their last 13. This game will not be nationally televised, but we expect the NBA-TV crew to provide plenty of live cut-ins, especially if the game they are broadcasting - Pacers-Rockets - is lopsided. Minnesota has been a road ‘dog seven times and has gone 5-1-1, an 83.3 percent conversion rate. That works for us.

The Pick: Minnesota Timberwolves +3.5 vs. Oklahoma City Thunder (-110).

Leg-4 Parlay Pick: Kings – 7.5 vs Trail Blazers (-115)

Portland has lost nine of 10 games and will be going against a visiting Sacramento team that is coming off a dud performance in a 12-point loss to the Timberwolves in which Domantas Sabonis still managed a triple-double. The Kings scored only 98 points, making it just the fifth time in 28 games that they were held below 100. They should get better quite easily against a Portland team that lost by 20 vs. Golden State last time out and by 1 against a horrid Washington Wizards team in their previous game. Sabonis to record another triple-double is not the worst prop bet in the history of prop bets, but the price is only +205.

The Pick: Portland Trail Blazers – 7.5 vs. Sacramento Kings (-115)

Put those four picks together and you have a 4-leg parlay with odds of +1173, meaning a $10 wager would pay $127.38. Good luck!
