Dallas Mavericks (+2.5)

The Clippers were second favourites to win the Western Conference heading into the playoffs, but they’re now on the brink of elimination in the first round after Dallas went up 3-2 on Wednesday night.

Although the away team has won every game of this series so far, being at home should be an advantage for Dallas in this elimination game, particularly given their opponent’s tendency to wilt under pressure.

From blowing a 3-1 lead against the Denver Nuggets last year to how they have played in this postseason so far, it’s very difficult to trust the Clippers in any kind of clutch situation, so it’s worth backing Luka Doncic and the Mavericks to finish the job here.

Dallas Mavericks over 107 points

The Mavericks have averaged 106.8 points per game in this series, but that number is brought down by an awful shooting performance in Game 4, when they scored just 81 points.

That game aside, they’ve been on fire from three-point range and have the best offensive player on the court every night, so they look likely to clear this number for the fourth time in the series on Friday night.

Luka Doncic over 31.5 points

Doncic was fantastic again in Game 5, fighting through a neck injury to put up 42 points and 14 assists, and the Clippers appear to have no answer for the 22-year-old defensively.

He has dominated every defender thrown at him and scored so consistently on Patrick Beverley earlier in the series that the Clippers were forced to bench the point guard for all but 11 seconds in Game 5.

Doncic has now cleared 30 points in four of the five games in this series, including a 39-point night in Game 2 and a 44-point performance in Game 3.

Kawhi Leonard under 29.5 points

Leonard scored 20 points in Game 5, meaning he’s now gone under 30 points in three of this series’ five games so far.

The two-time Finals MVP has only gone over 30 points in four of his last 12 playoff games, and memorably scored just 14 in a high-pressure situation when the Clippers lost Game 7 to the Nuggets last year.
