Your basketball Sunday will not be over by the time the Los Angeles Clippers and Phoenix Suns return from their long hiatus and compete in Game 1 of their Western Conference playoff series.

That will be the third of four games this coming Sunday on what should be a wild first full weekend of the NBA playoffs. Phoenix has gone 8-0 with forward Kevin Durant in the lineup, and the whole reason new Suns owner Matt Ishbia acquired him was to win a championship. This game will be postseason Step One.

Clippers vs Suns Odds, Spread, Moneyline, Over/Under - NBA Playoffs Betting Lines 4/15

Moneyline: Los Angeles Clippers (+240), Phoenix Suns (-300)
Spread: Los Angeles Clippers +6.5 (-106), Phoenix Suns -6.5 (-115)
Total: Over/Under 226.5 points

Clippers vs Suns Injury Report

The Clippers are expected to be without forward Paul George (sprained knee) for the opener, and his status is day-to-day after that. Forward Marcus Morris Sr. is suffering from back spasms and will be out. For the Suns, forward T.J. Warren is questionable with an unspecified illness. Tipoff is at 8 p.m. EST as the second part of a TNT tripleheader.

Clippers vs Suns Prediction

When a team is unbeaten with a superstar in its lineup, you really do not want to bet against it. Ask anybody who has been betting against the Tampa Bay Rays, and they will tearfully concur. In this case, the Suns have not lost a game when Kevin Durant has been healthy and in the lineup, and we are not going against that strong a trend. We like the Suns giving the 6.5 points.

Best NBA Playoffs Same-Game Parlay Picks Sunday for Clippers vs Suns Game 1: 3-Leg Parlay Picks (+500)

The Suns are the +425 third choice on the Betway board to win the championship, while the Clippers are +5000, as the injury to George has deflated El Lay’s championship hopes … for now. If he returns for Game 2 and this thing heads to Los Angeles at 1-1, you will not see +5000 on Monday morning.

The Clippers had George healthy when they beat the Suns 116-107 in their final game before the NBA All-Star break -- shortly after the Suns had acquired Durant from Brooklyn. Clippers coach Tyronn Lue said the Suns’ trio of Durant, Booker and Paul reminds him of going against Durant, Steph Curry and Klay Thompson when Lue was coaching Cleveland in the NBA Finals. “I don’t want to think about it,” he said about the Suns adding Durant to their rotation. “It’s a tough coverage, tough matchup. I’m interested to see how they play, how they share the basketball. But on paper it looks really good.”

Who Will get a Double Double?

Ivica Zubac – Los Angeles Clippers

The Clippers have two effective centers in Zubac and Mason Plumlee, and that will be their matchup advantage against the Suns and center DeAndre Ayton. Zubac double-doubled the last time they met in a meaningful game.

Leg-1 SGP Pick:  Ivica Zubac double-double (+120)

Chris Paul – Phoenix Suns

Paul had double-doubles in the Suns’ first three postseason games a year ago in the first round of the playoffs. The guy is a proven postseason performer.

Leg-2 SGP Pick: Chris Paul double-double (+115):

Total Points

The Clippers went over in 13 of 20 games as a road underdog, third-best in the league.

Leg-3 SGP Pick: Over 226.5 points (-110)
