Well, we have one sweep out of the way, and it will be a long summer for LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and the rest of the Los Angeles Lakers, who were ingloriously bumped out of the postseason in four games by the Denver Nuggets last night.

Could we have two sweeps in a row, and then no basketball until June 1? Yes, that is a possibility, and we recommend checking out the local cinema schedule just in case. Or digging that baseball mitt out of the garage and taking in a baseball game in person.

The NBA has not had two sweeps in the conference finals since … ever.

And that will not be a good thing for Disney, parent company of ESPN, because there is a whole lot of advertising inventory that will have to be refunded. Keep that in mind when day trading the stock market.

Or … take the kids to an amusement park. Or go to the zoo. Or dust off the golf clubs and shoot that 79 you have been chasing all of your life.

These NBA playoffs have been weird. The Sacramento Kings made the playoffs for the first time in almost two decades and took the defending champion Golden State Warriors to seven games. But then we saw Steph Curry, Draymond Green, Klay Thompson get upended by the Lake Show in Round 2.

We have now seen one of the least-hyped No. 1 seeds (the Nuggets) knock off the star-laden Phoenix Suns 4-2. In the East, another team that most people didn't even have on their radar, the Miami Heat, has jumped from the No. 8 seed into the conference finals while taking a 3-0 lead over the Boston Celtics, who came back from a 3-2 deficit and dispatched the Philadelphia 76ers, costing Doc Rivers his job.

Hey, Joe Mazzulla: The odds say your job is on the line tonight in Game 4. Good luck with that, because Erik Spoelstra has been coaching circles around you through the first three games of this series. And he does not have Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown and Malcolm Brogdon, the guy who was supposed to make a huge difference for the Celtics after they went out in the NBA Finals a year ago.

Best Celtics vs Heat Player Prop Bets Tuesday for Game 4 on May 23rd

Jimmy Butler

The guy who has rightfully earned the nickname “Playoff Jimmy” returned to earth – sort of – in Game 3 with a line of 16 points, eight rebounds and six assists. But he played only 31 minutes because the Heat were ahead by 30 points at the end of three quarters.

In Game 2, he had 27, 8 and 6, and in Game 1 he had 35, 7 and 5. He is on the Betway board at +1200 to have a triple-double, and as much as we like triple-doubles, the guy has not had a single one all season, so we ain’t going there. But what about blocked shots? Look, the guy is no Alonzo Mourning, but he has had two blocks in four playoff games, matching his total from the entire regular season. So, yeah, that is trending for him the same way his Bud Light commercials are trending, and the line is quite enticing. Why not a fifth time? The dude is en fuego.

The pick: Butler to have 2+ blocks (+600)

Bam Adebayo

He played only 26 minutes in Game 2 and had a pedestrian line of 13 points, two assists and three rebounds. How much of an outlier was that? Well, the last time Adebayo had three rebounds or less was the final game of the regular season against Orlando when he played just 8 minutes. Prior to that, it happened March 8 against Cleveland when he was saddled with foul trouble, Feb. 13 against Denver when he went up against a guy named Jokic … and that’s it.

In Game 2 of this series he finished one assist shy of a triple-double, and he had a triple-double of 21 points, 10 assists and 10 rebounds against Milwaukee in the closeout Game 5. So we are not saying it is anything close to a lock, but what the heck. Adebayo is capable, and he is about 80,000 times better than Al Horford and Robert Williams, who will be trying to contain him. This one falls in the “why not?” category.

The pick: Bam Adebayo to triple-double (+3500)

Jayson Tatum

The guy has been a leaky faucet. He runs hot and cold. He was 6-for-18 in Game 3 for a mere 18 points, and he had just 7 points in a 34-point Game 2 victory over Philadelphia in which he as saddled with foul trouble.

But he also has had games of 51, 39, 36, 31 and 30 while accumulating 11 double-doubles. Mazzulla is going to lean on him hard tonight because he represents the Celtics best chance to bring this series back to Boston, and it would not be a shocker to see him play 46-48 minutes. The guy had just one triple-double all season, so we ain’t going there – even at the enticing line of +1000.

But when it comes to points, rebounds and assists combined, this All-Star should be able to surpass the line of 55 points assists and rebounds. After all, he is their stud.

The pick: Jayson Tatum over 55 combined points, assists and rebounds (+370)

Best NBA Same Game Parlay Picks Today for Celtics vs Heat - Game 4: 3-Leg Parlay Picks (+18000)

Since there is a good chance that this is the last basketball game we shall see this month, what the heck. If this hits, it will get you two tickets and two flights to Denver for Game 1 of the finals … provided the Celtics do not win the next four, in which case Game 1 would be in Beantown. So shoot for the stars tonight and root very, very hard for Adebayo to get double figures in assists, because that is a rarity … but a rarity worth playing.

The pick: Jimmy Butler 2+ steals (+600), Bam Adebayo triple double (+3500), Jayson Tatum over 55 combined points, assists and rebounds (+370)
