The Vegas Golden Knights have flipped the script in their Western Conference Finals series against the Dallas Stars. During the regular season, Vegas was swept by Dallas, losing all three of their head-to-head meetings. Now, however, Vegas has a commanding 2-0 lead over the Stars as they enter Game 3 and will look to continue their road success on Tuesday night. Since their first two wins both came in overtime, the Golden Knights know that the Stars won’t tether too much, because Dallas was just one goal per game away from being up 2-0.

After Dallas put 36 shots on goal and Vegas had 37 in Game 1, the combined total came back down to earth in Game 2 at 52. Five goals were scored in each of the first two games, so expect the same higher-scoring outcome when the teams meet in Dallas for Game 3 tonight.

The series is now transitioning back to Seguin’s home ice, so I expect his production to skyrocket in front of the Stars’ home crowd. In Dallas’ three regular-season matchups with Vegas this season, Seguin only scored once, but he had 18 shots on goal. The Stars are in a 2-0 hole and while those losses don’t sting quite as much since they came in overtime, Game 3 is still a must-win situation for them. Look for Seguin to lead the charge at home, remain aggressive against this Golden Knights team, and put a puck in the back of the net.

Jack Eichel

Vegas center Jack Eichel has had a quiet series so far against Dallas and did not score in either of the first two games. Eichel had some success in the regular season vs. the Stars – scoring once and getting nine shots on goal in the two games he played against Dallas. While the Stars will be bringing their “A game” on Tuesday night, expect Eichel to match it as he looks to score his first goal of this series.
