The Toronto Maple Leafs and the New Jersey Devils will meet for the third time this season when the two take the ice at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey on Tuesday night. The season series is currently tied at 1-1, with the Devils winning the first matchup in overtime 3-2 and the Maple Leafs winning 2-1 a few games later.

The Maple Leafs enter this matchup starting March off 1-2 while the Devils come in at 2-1 and are averaging five goals per game in that stretch. Both of these teams are among the best in the Eastern Conference, so get your popcorn ready for this matchup because it’s going to be a show.

Best NHL Same Game Parlay Picks Today for Maple Leafs vs Devils - 4 Legs Parlay Picks (+1000)

Jack Hughes - Goals

Center Jack Hughes is this New Jersey team’s engine. With 36 goals on the season, Hughes is the only member of the Devils that’s exceeded 30 goals this season.

While he’s scoreless in both matchups against the Maple Leafs, Hughes was very aggressive, getting six shots on goal in the first matchup and four shots on goal in the second matchup. Maple Leafs goalie Illya Samsonov is elite, but Hughes is an elite scorer.

Hughes finally snaps his goalless streak against Toronto this season and puts one in the back of the net at home on Tuesday night.

Leg-1 SGP Pick: Jack Hughes anytime goal (+110)

Timo Meier - Goals

The Devils recently acquired star wingman Timo Meier from the San Jose Sharks and, in his first game on Sunday, Meier lived up to expectations, putting one in the back of the net. Meier was very aggressive against Arizona, getting three shots on goal, and will look to continue that aggressive play against Toronto on Tuesday night.

With the San Jose Sharks, in his two matchups against Toronto this season, Meier scored one goal. The Sharks won that game in overtime and Meier also assisted on the game-winning goal.

The Maple Leafs have the fifth-best defense in hockey so, while goals will come at more of a premium on Tuesday night, this fourth-ranked Devils offense will be hard to stop with Meier and Hughes leading the way.

Leg-2 SGP Pick: Timo Meier anytime goal (+100)

Devils - Team Goals

In Illya Samsonov’s 32 starts this season, he’s allowed four or more goals just eight times. With partial credit going to the Maple Leafs fifth-ranked overall defense, Samsonov has been elite in goal with a .915 save percentage that ranks 12th amongst all goaltenders this season.

While the Devils fourth-ranked offense will pose a threat, especially with Meier part of their offensive mix now, Samsonov will keep this high-powered Devils offense under four goals in this one.

Leg-3 SGP Pick: Devils under 4.5 goals (-320)

New Jersey Devils - Money Line

Tuesday’s matchup between the Maple Leafs and the Devils will by far be the best game on the slate as these two Eastern Conference powerhouses both rank within the top 10 defensively, so any goal scored will have to truly be earned.

The Devils acquiring Timo Meier from San Jose may have been the move to just put them over the top. Ranking fourth offensively, Meier, who was the leading scorer for San Jose with 31 goals on the season, just bolsters this high-powered Devils offense even more.

While the first two matchups were close, New Jersey will separate themselves at some point in this game to get their 42nd victory in front of their home crowd.

Leg-4 SGP Pick: New Jersey Devils ML (-140)
