Sidney Crosby

Sidney Crosby had a quiet game in his last meeting against the Lightning which the Penguins won 7-3, scoring once on his only attempt. While Crosby’s offensive production wasn’t really needed as Lightning goalie Brian Elliott played like he didn’t have a hockey stick in his hand, his offensive production will be needed on Thursday night. With Andrei Vasilevskiy in goal for the Lightning this time around, goals will be much harder to come by.

Crosby has two or more shots on goal in seven of his last eight games, with several of those games seeing him put four or five shots on goal. Crosby gets one in the net and will be very aggressive as he tries to lead his Penguins to another upset victory over the Lightning.

The Pick: Sidney Crosby over 2.5 shots on goal (-125)

Tage Thompson

A big reason behind the Sabres' third-ranked offense has been Tage Thompson’s success. With 41 goals on the season, Thompson has been a force at the center position. In his two matchups against the Bruins this season, he’s scored both times and has had three and four shots on goal.

While scoring or even getting a good opportunity against this Bruins team is hard enough, Thompson is the Sabres' only hope to remain competitive in this game. While I can’t guarantee that Thompson gets a goal in this game, he will be heavily involved and it feels like a four- or five-shot game.

The Pick: Tage Thompson over 3.5 shots on goal (-110)

Patrick Kane

Hat-trick Kane, Patrick Kane, the Rangers were long awaiting his arrival. With Kane rumored to be landing in New York for the last few weeks, the 12th-ranked overall offense was in desperate need for his talents as they’ve had a lot of inconsistent performances this season. Kane will make his debut Thursday night in the famous Madison Square Garden, where he will look to make an instant impact in front of the New York fans.

The Ottawa Senators allow the 11th most shots on goal in the NHL this season and Kane is one of the most aggressive attackmen in hockey. With two or more shots on goal in his last 12 games, Kane will provide an instant offensive boost for this Rangers team.

The Pick: Patrick Kane over 2.5 shots on goal (-165)

Adrian Kempe

As great as goaltender Phoenix Copley played in the shootout against Winnipeg on Tuesday night, Adrian Kempe was the hero as he had the lone goal in the shootout to lead his Kings to victory. Kempe will look to carry that momentum back home as the Kings host the Montreal Canadiens on Thursday night.

In his last 20 games, Kempe has had two or more shots on goal. The Canadiens allow the sixth most shots on goal per game this season and their defense is dreadful. Kempe will be involved on Thursday night as the Kings get another win.

The Pick: Adrian Kempe over 2.5 shots on goal (-175)
