Selection Sunday is the day the NCAA Tournament Committees announce the brackets for both the men’s and women’s tournaments. It’s simultaneously one of the most fun and stressful days of March Madness, where some dreams are made and some come to an end.

Every year, bubble teams tune into Selection Sunday with the hope of hearing their name called for the tournament.

Some of the biggest bubble teams this year on the men’s side include Virginia, Pittsburgh, Wake Forest, Oklahoma, Kansas State, Cincinnati, St John’s, Seton Hall, Providence, Villanova, Ohio State, Texas A&M, South Florida, New Mexico, Indiana State, and Princeton (ESPN).

Some of the biggest bubble teams this year on the women’s side include Maryland, Michigan, Miami, Auburn, Marquette, Texas A&M, Vanderbilt, Arizona, Mississippi, Penn State, Washington State, Columbia, California, Villanova, Washington, and St Joseph’s (ESPN). 

What time is Selection Sunday?

Men’s Selection Sunday 2024 starts around 6 pm ET on Sunday, March 17 on CBS. Women’s Selection Sunday immediately follows the men’s broadcasting, starting around 8 pm ET on ESPN.
