We have been down this road before. The Miami Heat are down, and everybody want to count them out.

Yes, Nikola Jokic was otherworldly, and Jamal Murray teamed with the big Serbian to become the first players in NBA history – not just the playoffs – to have triple-doubles in the same game.

But a reminder: It was one game. There could be as many as seven. The next one is No. 4. When the all goes up for the opening tip, the score with be 0-0, and the weekend will be getting started. With the kids home from college and the high schools getting ready to hold graduations, it will be gathering time. And when y’ll sit down for that pre-game barbeque to debate what is going to happen Friday night, remember one thing: The Heat have been counted out before, yet they are still standing.

Jimmy Butler

When it comes to the possibility of a triple-double, it is considered such a certainly from Jokic that he is -140 to get another one. And we do not start parlays with minus-odds bets. We look for players who have proven time and again that they are not quitters and are capable of lighting up an arena, and in this case it may be Butler’s last chance of the postseason to do something special for the home fans. Because if Miami loses, this thing could be over Monday night in Denver.

Buler has not shot 50 percent or better since Game 5 of the Eastern Conference finals against Boston, and prior to that he went six straight games missing more than half of his attempts. S when he claims “ I am not a scorer” – that is where h is coming from.

But at a certain point. He must become what he says he is not. We saw that at the end of the first round against Milwaukee when he went for 56 and 42 in the final two games, so we know he has it in him. And the time to summon something special like those games has arrived. In those two games against the Bucks, Butler had 67 and 54 combined points rebounds and assists.

Heck, even Jokic did not have a combined 67 in Game 3.

And while the Butler double-double line of +205 is enticing, he has gone 12 straight games without one, and where we come from 13 is not a lucky number. So we go a little safer here with a pick that has the same odds.

Leg-1 SGP Pick: Jimmy Butler to have 45+ points, rebounds and assists combined. (+205)

Bam Adebayo

Miami’s center had 22 points and 17 rebounds in Game 3 for his fifth double-double in six games, and he picked up only two fouls while, ahem, defending Jokic. (Some guys just cannot be defended, OK?). The point here is that Adebayo is the best pick on Miami to get his numbers win or lose, and he has had at least four assists in four of the last five games (he had three in Game 3.

Legs 2-3 SGP Pick: Bam Adebayo to double-double (-210) and to go for 5+ assists (+165)

Aaron Gordon

Amid all of the triple-double hullabaloo, not many noticed that Gordon had a double-double of 11 point and 10 rebounds to go with five assists. He is shooting 63 percent in the series and 51.1 percent in the postseason, and as good as Christian Braun was in Game 3, Gordon is still the Nuggets’ third-best player. And because so much of the Heat’s defensive focus is going to be centered on Jokic and Murray, we expect Gordon to have his opportunities. The trick is doing something with them, and that makes him the riskiest part of this four leg parlay. But you’ve got to have a risk-reward variable that is high in order to cash nicely on parlays, so this is the guy you tell your best buds about during your pore-game BBQ.

Leg-4 SGP Pick: Aaron Gordon to score 18+ points (+400)
