Best NBA Player Prop Bets Today: Thursday, March 23

Julius Randle

The New York Knicks need every win they can get as they’re nursing the fifth seed in the Eastern Conference and the Brooklyn Nets are on their heels.

While the Knicks have been a balanced team this season with Julius Randle, Jalen Brunson, RJ Barrett and solid contributions from their role players, it's Randle who has been the motor for this team this season. Randle leads all Knicks players in points with 25.6 per game and rebounds with 10.2 per game. He’s coming off of a 57-point performance against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Monday night and is showing no signs of slowing down.

In his two matchups with Orlando this year, Randle has had 22 points and 14 rebounds, and 25 points and 12 rebounds. Another double-double should almost be expected against this youthful Magic team that won’t have an answer defensively. Expect a big night for the Knicks superstar.

The Pick: Julius Randle over 34.5 points and rebounds (-125)

Mikal Bridges

Since joining the Brooklyn Nets, Mikal Bridges has not only uplifted a team that appeared to be heading towards a rebuild, but he’s uplifted them enough to maintain a playoff berth as they control the sixth seed entering Thursday night. Bridges is averaging 25.4 points in his 17 games and 26.8 points over his last 10 games. If the Nets want to stay in this game and remain competitive, then they’re going to need a big game from Bridges offensively.

The Cleveland Cavaliers allow opponents just 106.6 points per game, which is the fewest in the NBA this season. No one’s playing better defense than the Cavaliers. Despite their great defensive performances this season, Bridges will get his in front of his new home crowd.

The Pick: Mikal Bridges over 23.5 points (-105)

CJ McCollum

The New Orleans Pelicans are on the outside looking in for a play-in-tournament berth and, while they should handle the Charlotte Hornets on Thursday night, they won’t overlook any team at this point this season.

McCollum is averaging 21 points, 4.5 rebounds and 5.9 assists per game as he does it all for this Pelicans team. While his stat sheet has been up and down in the month of March, you can expect him to exploit an inferior Hornets defense on Thursday night.

The Hornets give up 117.4 points per game, so the Pelicans will have a lot of baskets to go around. Some of those will be McCollum’s, while others will be those he sets up for teammates.

The Pick: CJ McCollum over 31.5 points, assists and rebounds (-125)

Russell Westbrook

Warning: I may be getting too cute with this one, but I just have one of those feelings. While Russell Westbrook’s shooting, especially from three-point range, has still been a struggle since joining the Clippers, his confidence has been there. Combine that with defenses literally enticing and daring Westbrook to shoot the three, this plus money is just too hard to turn down.

Westbrook has made two or more three-pointers in only one of his nine games in the month of March, but has attempted at least two three-pointers in all those nine games. He’s getting wide open looks and the Clippers need this win badly.

There’s no Paul George for the foreseeable future, so someone needs to help pick up the offensive void. Why can’t it be Westbrook? Give me two Westbrook three-pointers on Thursday night and some big plus money.

The Pick: Russell Westbrook over 1.5 three-pointers made (+175)
