Best NBA Player Prop Bets Tonight: Friday, March 24 Damian Lillard It used to come only in stretches, but each time Lillard has stepped on the court this season, it has been 100 percent Dame Time. Lillard, who currently ranks third in NBA scoring with 32.3 points per game, will likely pass Luka Doncic and Joel Embiid over the next few games, because there’s no sign of him slowing down. His backcourt mate, Anferee Simons, is still out with an ankle injury, so Lillard will have to carry the load again on Friday night with his Blazers 1.5 games out of a Western Conference play-in spot. This Atlanta Hawks team can score, too, as its 116.9 points-per-game average ranks sixth in the NBA. Lillard will have to go for about 40 to 50 points if he wants to keep his Blazers in this game. Dame time anyone? Sign me up, please.

The Pick: Damian Lillard over 36.5 points (-110)
Kevin Durant Kevin Durant will remain on a minutes restriction Friday night, since he’s still recovering from a knee sprain. Despite being limited to 27 minutes in his Phoenix Suns debut on Wednesday, Durant scored 23 points on 10-for-15 shooting, including 2-for-4 from 3-point range. While Durant is known for his midrange prowess and can get to the basket with ease, he’s still recovering and adjusting to a new system. I think his over for 3-pointers on Friday is just a bingo free-play. The Chicago Bulls allow the fifth-most 3-point attempts in the NBA this season, and with Durant still looking to get back to 100 percent, I could see him shooting more than driving in this one.

The Pick: Kevin Durant over 1.5 three-pointers (-110)
Ja Morant The Memphis Grizzlies sit 3.5 games behind the Denver Nuggets for first place in the NBA’s Western Conference, and since this is the teams’ last head-to-head meeting of the season, Memphis is not likely to catch Denver. In any case, you had better believe the Grizzlies will try to make a statement on Friday night. Memphis has had its struggles against Western Conference teams this year and they have heard about it from critics. Expect a big game out of Morant on Friday night as he will look to carry the young Grizzlies to an upset victory. When the Nuggets beat the Grizzlies 105-91 in the teams’ first 2022-23 matchup on Dec. 20, Morant had 35 points, one rebound, and 10 assists in 38 minutes of playing time. When Memphis avenged that defeat with a 112-94 win on Feb. 25 at home, Morant had 23 points, seven rebounds and four assists in just 24 minutes. I expect this matchup to be a lot closer on Friday night, and if Morant reaches 30-plus minutes, he’ll certainly exceed his over.

The Pick: Ja Morant over 42.5 points, assists, and rebounds (-110)
Anthony Davis The big man is back on campus. After missing a game with a foot injury – which was more likely just a load-management game -- Davis is back in the Lakers lineup and will look to lead Los Angeles to victory on Friday night. A Lakers win might put them in a play-in spot, depending on what the New Orleans Pelicans do against the Golden State Warriors. Either way, the Lakers will need a big game on Friday night. Going forward, they will specifically need more big games out of Davis, who must carry the load while LeBron James is sidelined a few weeks with a foot injury. That shouldn’t be a problem for the big man, who averages 25.8 points and 12.6 rebounds per game this season. The Timberwolves allow the 14th-most points in the paint this season, and it won’t get any easier for Minnesota when it tries to stop Davis. As for rebounding, the Timberwolves allow their opponents the fourth-most rebounds in the NBA. That’s not good news either, since Davis has averaged 14.4 rebounds per game over his past 10 performances. Davis will have a monster night on Friday as he’ll try to push his Lakers into a playoff spot.

The Pick: Anthony Davis over 40.5 points and rebounds (-135)
