Best NHL Player Prop Bets Tonight – Tuesday, April 25th

New York Islanders vs Carolina Hurricans Player Prop Bets

Bo Horvat

With their backs against the wall, the New York Islanders will look to Bo Horvat to help get them back in this series with the Carolina Hurricanes on Tuesday night. It’s win-or-go-home time for the Isles and Horvat, who scored his first goal of these playoffs during his team’s 5-2 loss on Sunday. Defense will have to be a priority for the Islanders on Tuesday night, but Horvat’s aggressiveness will need to be there as well. He managed only one shot on goal Sunday, and it went in the net. As one of the Islanders’ more talented skaters, Horvat needs to be on target more often Tuesday night and be aggressive about it. He has yet to exceed two shots on goal in any game of this series, but he’ll do so in Game 5 on Tuesday night.

The Pick: Bo Horvat over 2.5 shots on goal (+135)

Minnesota Wild vs Dallas Stars Player Prop Bets Jason Robertson

After putting at least three shots on goal in each of his team’s first three playoff games against the Minnesota Wild, Dallas’ Jason Robertson had no shots on goal in Sunday’s Game 4. The Wild played an aggressive style in Game 4 -– so aggressive that Minnesota’s Marcus Foligno ripped the referees for calling too many penalties. That might have affected Robertson, but don’t expect a similar outing from him in Game 5. Despite failing to get a shot on net, Robertson did manage to assist on Tyler Seguin’s second-period goal, and the Stars still pulled out the win. Robertson will be more aggressive on Tuesday night as he and his teammates look to claim the driver’s seat in this series.

The Pick: Jason Robertson over 3.5 shots on goal (-134)

Los Angeles Kings vs Edmonton Oilers Player Prop Bets

Connor McDavid

Three of the four games in the Oilers-Kings series have been decided in overtime, but Tuesday night’s game between Los Angeles and Edmonton will be decided in regulation -- with the Oilers winning big. Look for center Connor McDavid to be a factor in that big win, because his aggressive play will continue in Game 5. With 20 shots on goal in the series so far, McDavid wouldn’t shock me if he has six or seven in this game as the Oilers try to take control of a series tied 2-2.

The Pick: Connor McDavid over 3.5 shots on goal (-167)

Evander Kane

Edmonton winger Evander Kane has had a good postseason so far with two goals and 14 shots on goal over the first four games of the Oilers-Kings series. In a pivotal Game 5, look for the Oilers to rely not just on McDavid, but on Kane too. The McDavid-Kane tandem is one reason why the Oilers had the NHL’s top regular-season offense, and the two will show us why on Tuesday night in what I expect to be an Oilers rout.

The Pick: Evander Kane over 3.5 shots on goal (+115)
