After losing five straight games, the Miami Dolphins now find themselves in a must-win situation as they’ll need to beat the New York Jets and have the New England Patriots lose to the Buffalo Bills on Sunday to make the playoffs.

While the Dolphins and Skylar Thompson remain confident in him being able to get the job done on Sunday, my confidence isn’t quite there. The seventh-round rookie led all quarterbacks in the entire NFL with a preseason passer rating of 138.4 and has two of the fastest wide receivers in the NFL at his disposal with Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle, so anything is possible.

However, the Jets aren’t going to lay down in this game, especially with quarterback Mike White out there, who’s trying to prove that he’s the Jets quarterback of the future. The Jets defense has also been stout this season as their 19.1 points per game ranks fourth in the NFL and they have the second-ranked pass defense.

As for the Dolphins, their defense has been a mess this year and injuries certainly have contributed to it. Despite having a good run defense in their first meeting, the Jets found great success on the ground game as they totaled five rushing touchdowns.

Mike White and the Jets will have no problems finding the endzone against a Dolphins defense that will be banged up again this Sunday. Skylar Thompson will be ready for his rematch as he’s been preparing as the starter for the entire week and, with Hill and Waddle ,anyone can find the end zone.

This is a low total considering the circumstances, give me the over in this one.

This NFC East showdown in the final week has implications for some and implications for none. The New York Giants clinched a playoff berth last Sunday in their win over the Indianapolis Colts 38-10 and are going to the postseason for the first time since 2016.

The Philadelphia Eagles already clinched a postseason berth weeks ago but a win on Sunday would crown them the NFC East champions. Despite having nothing to play for as the Giants can’t change their seeding, they’re still expected to play their starters against Philadelphia on Sunday.

While former Giants players are giving this narrative pushback, they’d still be competitive in this game as they have some talented backups. Entering the season, I felt that backup quarterback Tyrod Taylor would steal this job from Daniel Jones, who struggled last season. Backup running back Matt Breida, who’s not even close to Saquon Barkley’s talent, is still a veteran back that can produce. So, even if the Giants do decide to rest or bench a few of their stars, they have some good options behind them.

As for the Eagles, quarterback Jalen Hurts was limited in practice on Thursday as he’s still battling a shoulder injury but, in a must-win game for the NFC East crown and at least one home game in the playoffs, Hurts is doing whatever he can to play.

If Hurts does go on Sunday, this Eagles defense, which is still missing some key players, will allow the Giants to keep this one close. Even if Jones or Barkley sits, I’m still confident in Taylor and Breida to produce enough offensively to keep this one close.

The Green Bay Packers have nearly pulled off the impossible as they now control their own destiny. A win on Sunday night over the Detroit Lions will give them a spot in the playoffs. Did we really doubt Aaron Rodgers?

Last week’s 41-17 win over the Vikings came on the back of this Packers defense. They made quarterback Kirk Cousins' day a nightmare as he threw three interceptions with one of those going for a touchdown. The Packers defense will look to do the same again on Sunday night as they’ll face a Lions offense that averages 27.1 points per game, which ranks fourth in the NFL.

The Detroit Lions squeaked by Green Bay back in Week 9 winning 15-9, but the revenge tour is real for this Packers team, especially their defense. Rodgers threw a season-high three interceptions in that game with all three coming in the red zone and two on the goaline.

The Packers had no problem moving the football against the 32nd-ranked Lions defense in Week 9 and won’t have any problems on Sunday night as this time they’ll capitalize on the goalline.

The Packers and Rodgers will earn themselves a playoff berth in a statement win on Sunday night and will send a message to the other playoff teams that they’re not sneaking in but they’re in and they’re coming for everyone.
