Best College Basketball Bets Today – January 25th: Odds, Picks and Predictions

Lehigh vs Holy Cross Odds, Spread, Moneyline, Over/Under - NCAAB Betting Lines 1/25 Moneyline: Lehigh (-155), Holy Cross (+135)
Spread: Lehigh -3, Holy Cross +3
Total: Over/Under 139.5 points
Lehigh vs Holy Cross Prediction and Pick These two teams met just two short weeks ago. Lehigh really controlled the game from start to finish as Holy Cross’s 24-point first half dug them into a 14 point deficit at the half. They now meet again in what should be a high scoring affair.

Lehigh, who’s led by Evan Taylor, Keith Higgins Jr. and Tyler Whitney-Sidney had subpar games in their first matchup against Holy Cross as Whitney-Sidney was the only player to get deep into double-digits scoring with 21 points. As for Holy Cross, Gerrale Gates really carried the load offensively for them and had his way in their first matchup scoring 24 points to go with 11 rebounds.

Holy Cross will need to attack the paint more in this game as their 1-11 three-point shooting in the first half was a big contributor to them going down by 14. While they did go 6-10 from behind the arc in the second half, three-point shooting isn’t really their specialty. Lehigh is a very balanced and consistent scoring team that will bring it in both halves tonight. Lehigh gets it done again on the road.

The Pick: Lehigh -3 (-110)
Xavier vs UConn Odds, Spread, Moneyline, Over/Under - NCAAB Betting Lines 1/25
Moneyline: Xavier (+220), Connecticut (-260)
Spread: Xavier +6.5, Connecticut -6.5
Total: Over/Under 153.5 points
Xavier vs UConn Prediction and Pick After starting the season out 14-0, Connecticut has really come back down to earth as they’ve dropped their last 5 of 7 games. Xavier, who’s been battle tested this year going down to the wire with Duke and Gonzaga was stunned by DePaul two games ago but regained their groove in a dominant win over Georgetown, 95-82.

Both teams can score. In their first matchup back on New Year’s Eve Connecticut led at the half 42-41. Xavier pulled away in the second half winning 83-73 and handed Connecticut their first loss of the season. Wednesday night’s matchup will be a lot closer than this spread suggests. While everyone is expecting Connecticut to lay it on Xavier for ending their 14-game winning streak to start their season, Xavier is no slouch. Xavier ranks fifth in the Nation in shooting percentage and is 14th in the Nation in adjusted tempo.

Both of these teams have topped 80 points 10 plus times this season with Xavier scoring 80 plus points 14 times. The scoring will be there again Wednesday night as both teams can score in bunches and at a high consistent rate. Xavier will push the tempo and keep the scoring at a high rate, give me the over here.

The Pick: Over 153.5 (-110)

West Virginia vs Texas Tech Odds, Spread, Moneyline, Over/Under - NCAAB Betting Lines 1/25 Moneyline: West Virginia (+140), Texas Tech (-165)
Spread: West Virginia +3.5, Texas Tech -3.5
Total: Over/Under 141.5 points
West Virginia vs Texas Tech Prediction and Pick Conference play has been both of these team’s Achilles heel this season. West Virginia has one win since Big 12 conference play started while Texas Tech has yet to get a win in Big 12 conference play so far this season. While both have been at least competitive in their losses, this matchup between these two is pivotal for both of their season’s.

Texas Tech’s winless record in the Big 12 really explains their lack of talent, even their non-conference schedule didn’t live up to par as yes, they only had two losses, but their wins were close, nail-biting wins over very subpar teams like Nicholls State and Eastern Washington. As for West Virginia, they were more impressive in a harder non-conference schedule as they dominated Pittsburgh, Florida and UAB.

The point I’m trying to make here is that Texas Tech is the true bottom feeder of the Big 12 conference and West Virginia will handle them on Wednesday night. West Virginia’s balanced scoring attack as four of their five starters average double-digits will give Texas Tech a long night at home on Wednesday night. The press Virginia defense will cause struggles for Texas Tech as well as West Virginia commits 15.6 turnovers per game. West Virginia wins big on the road in a game that they should be favored in.

The Pick: West Virginia ML (+140)
