Best NBA Player Prop Bets Today: Thursday, March 30th

Pelicans vs Nuggets Player Prop Bets

Jamal Murray

The New Orleans Pelicans are allowing the fifth most three-point attempts in the NBA through the last five games, and while they aren’t allowing a lot of points, their opponents are making 33.7 per cent of those threes in that stretch.

The Denver Nuggets are hot right now, having won four games in a row, including wins over both the Milwaukee Bucks and the Philadelphia 76ers, and Jamal Murray has been a large part of that.

Murray has found his stroke from three-point range as of late, hitting at least three deep shots in each of his last five, including two nights with five threes against the Knicks and the Bucks.

The Nuggets guard is back to his January scoring form from behind the arc, now shooting 44 per cent in March compared to his 37 per cent totals in February.

The Pick: Jamal Murray Over 2.5 Threes (-140)

Herbert Jones

Some of the best value I’ve found for tonight's game comes in the form of Herbert Jones. He’s a nice young player for the Pelicans and did a great job getting under Draymond Green’s skin against the Warriors last time out, so there’s that to add to his resume.

Jones had 13 points against the Warriors, his first time over seven since the Pels played the Rockets on March 19th. He’s averaging 9.5 points per game so far in March, but those numbers are very up and down on a game-to-game basis. His high for the month is 20, while his low is two in a 29-minute outing against the Charlotte Hornets.

The Nuggets matchup is not a favorable one for Jones in scoring. They’re one of the league's better performers against opposition power forwards and Jones is a player who gets most of his points in drives towards the rim. He’s not a pull-up shooter and in tonight’s game I expect him to play a role defensively, but am not expecting to see a lot of points.

The Pick: Herbert Jones Under 8.5 Points (-125)

Celtics vs Bucks Player Prop Bets

Jayson Tatum

Tatum has been in good form recently, driving to the basket at a high clip and leading the Celtics on the run that has all but secured the second seed in the East.

The Celtics star forward has scored 34 or more points three times in his last five games, including a 34-point performance in just 32 minutes against the Indiana Pacers. Tatum had 28 in the loss to the Washington Wizards and was rested for a section of the fourth quarter once the game was out of reach.

While it was a disappointing loss for the Celtics, their stars will now go into tonight's game against the Bucks well rested, and Tatum has a shot at a big scoring night on the road.

The Bucks allowed 136 points last night against an Indiana Pacers team that was missing two of its best scorers in Tyrese Haliburton and Buddy Hield. The young Pacers starters drove inside on the Bucks regularly, with guard Benedict Mathurin scoring 29 points, and only three of those points coming from behind the arc.

Milwaukee are a great scoring team but they can be a real liability on the defensive end. They’re allowing over 118 points per game through the last five and might also be without Khris Middleton. The Bucks forward missed last night’s game and is considered day-to-day before the game against the Celtics this evening, meaning Milwaukee might be without one of their key starters whose responsibility would be covering Tatum for four quarters.

I like Tatum to have a big night tonight, and considering his recent scoring form and the likelihood he plays at least 38 minutes tonight, I have him comfortably clearing the 28.5-point line.

The Pick: Jayson Tatum over 28.5 Points (-110)
