Knicks vs Celtics Predictions and Pick

Jaylen Brown is off the injury report and will return to action after Boston suffered a tough loss to the Miami Heat which the Celtics looked like they were going to steal on the road Tuesday night. The New York Knicks, meanwhile, snapped a four-game losing streak at home Tuesday night as they beat the Cavaliers 105-103.

These teams are on opposite spectrums as far as their seasons have gone so far and, in their first meeting this year, the Celtics showed that in a 133-118 win. But don’t get fooled by the final score as it was a close game at the half as the Celtics only led by one. This game will likely be a close rematch as their last four of seven meetings have been settled by four points or less.

Both teams are gritty on the defensive end as the Knicks rank eighth in the league and the Celtics rank ninth in the league in points allowed per game. While the Celtics are the second best offense in the NBA and Jayson Tatum and Brown are both top 15 in scoring this season, I think the Knicks defense will slow them down enough to squeak out the under in this one.

The Pick: Under 224.5 (-110)

Bulls vs Hornets Odds, Spread, Moneyline, Over/Under - NBA Betting Lines 1/26

Moneyline: Chicago Bulls (-225), Charlotte Hornets (+190)
Spread: Chicago Bulls -5.5, Charlotte Hornets +5.5
Total: Over/Under 234.5 points

Bulls vs Hornets Prediction and Pick

The Chicago Bulls' inconsistencies have been inexcusable for a team as talented as they’re. The Bulls blew another fourth quarter lead to an inferior Indiana Pacers team on Tuesday night. As for the Charlotte Hornets, they remain one of the worst teams in basketball as they went to 3-9 in the month of January with their 97-128 loss to the Phoenix Suns on Tuesday.

The Hornets are one of the worst defensive teams in the NBA as they rank 28th in the NBA, and are also one of the worst offensive teams in the NBA as they rank 25th in the league in points per game. This Hornets unit is a really, really, really bad team.

While the Bulls are very inconsistent and constantly have let down games, they will respond on the road Thursday night with a statement win. Zach LaVine, DeMar DeRozan and Nikola Vucevic are too good to continue letting inferior teams beat them and come back on them when they gain a commanding lead.

The Bulls will jump out to an early lead in this one and will keep their foot on the gas as they win big on the road in Charlotte on Thursday night.

The Pick: Chicago Bulls -5.5 (-110)

Mavericks vs Suns Odds, Spread, Moneyline, Over/Under - NBA Betting Lines 1/26

Moneyline: Dallas Mavericks (-105), Phoenix Suns (-115)
Spread: Dallas Mavericks +1.5, Phoenix Suns -1.5
Total: Over/Under 222.5 points

Mavericks vs Suns Predictions and Pick

Any time the Mavericks and the Suns face each other it’s true must-watch television as this is one of the newest and best rivalries in basketball. Devin Booker will not play Thursday night as he remains sidelined with a groin injury.

Both teams have been solid defensively but inconsistent on the offensive end as injuries and role players production have been part of the blame. The Mavericks handled the Suns in their first matchup this season as they held Phoenix to 41 first half points and ended up winning 130-111. With no Booker, the Suns have failed to crack 100 points six times, and failed to 104 or more on three more occasions without their superstar.

The Mavericks will lock this Suns team down defensively on Thursday night. Luka Doncic will get his against Phoenix as he’s topped 25 points in nine out of his 14 games versus the Suns in his career. The real question all year for the Mavericks has been whether Doncic will get help offensively from his teammates as Christian Wood, Spencer Dinwiddie and Tim Hardaway Jr. have all disappeared at times.

The Mavericks lock down defensively, hold the Suns below 100 in this one and win big as Doncic and his teammates will get involved to help the Mavericks win on the road.

The Pick: Dallas Mavericks ML (+100)
