New York Yankees to beat Baltimore Orioles

The Yankees have found their groove of late, going 7-3 over their last 10 to move within two games of AL East leaders the Boston Red Sox.

They face divisional rivals Baltimore, which has lost seven of its last 10 including its last two in a row, and is just 5-13 at home this season.

Corey Kluber will start for New York on the back of three solid outings in which he has given up just three runs over 20 innings. That run included a win over Baltimore on April 27.

On the mound for the Orioles will be Dean Kremer, who is still seeking his first decision of the season having gone 0-3 over six starts to date.

Kremer struggled on his first start against the Yankees this season, taking the loss after giving up six runs on 10 hits over just 4.1 innings.

Cincinnati Reds to beat Colorado Rockies

Wade Miley starts for the first time since his no-hitter against Cleveland on May 7, a win that took his season record to 4-2 over six starts.

Miley has an impressive 2.00 ERA at this point in the campaign, striking out 27 while walking just eight over 36 innings pitched.

His Reds team lost the first game of this series 13-8 on Thursday, but the hometown Rockies are unlikely to notch up that many runs again here.

Starting for Colorado will be German Marquez, who is coming in after three consecutive losses in which he gave up 14 runs over just 10 innings.

A Cincinnati offense that ranks in the top five in the major leagues for average, on-base, runs and homers is unlikely to let him off the hook.

Los Angeles Dodgers to beat Miami Marlins

The Dodgers have emerged from their slump to win three of their last four games heading into this three-game set with the Marlins.

Clayton Kershaw will take to the mound for Los Angeles having gone 5-3 over eight starts this season with a 2.62 ERA.

In three games at Dodger Stadium this season, Kershaw has gone 2-1, giving up just three runs over 20 complete innings.

His opposite number on Friday is Sandy Alcantara, who owns a 1-2 record through eight starts with a 2.72 ERA.

Alcantara has given up at least five hits in each of his last three starts, and a Dodgers offense that ranks eighth in the major leagues for average, first for on-base percentage and fourth for runs scored should be able to give Kershaw a platform for his sixth win of the season.

Cleveland Indians to beat Seattle Mariners

Cleveland is one of the hottest teams in baseball right now, going 9-1 over its last 10 including wins in four straight.

The Indians won the opening game of this series 4-2 on Friday, condemning Seattle to its fifth loss in a row in the process.

Getting the start for the Indians is Aaron Civale, who is a perfect 5-0 through seven starts this season with a 2.91 ERA.

He gave up just one run over seven complete innings on his most recent start, a win over Cincinnati on May 8.

On the mound for Seattle will be Chris Flexen, who has impressed with a 3-1 record and 3.78 ERA through six starts.

He got the win in his most recent start against Texas on 7 May, but did give up 10 hits and four runs over six innings.

Amid a tight pitching battle, it’s best to side with the hot bats of Cleveland here.
